Draco And Harry: A Love Story

Chapter 2: The First Date

Draco was sitting in the Great Hall alone the next Saturday morning. He was waiting for Harry to get there and sit with him. All of a sudden a beautiful snowy owl came swooping in and dropped a letter on the table in front of Draco. He took the letter and, while petting Hedwig, he read it.

Dear Draco, I'm sorry I won't be joining you for classes today, I'm on business for the Auror Office, I will make it up to you, within the next few days, this Auror business will take a while as we have heard about more Death Eaters locations, one of them being that prick Antonin Dolohov, as you know he escaped Azkaban a few weeks before term started, appearently he and 10 other Death Eater pricks have been hiding out in the Italian countryside. Don't worry about me, I've got mum, dad, Sirius, Remus, Tonks, Kingsley, and Moody with me so I'll be fine not to mention your brilliant ex-house elf Dobby! Anyway when I get back, what do you say to dinner in Hogsmeade? Simply send your answer back with Hedwig, she knows where to go.

Draco smiled and thought "at least he's safe" he wrote "I would love dinner, but you're buying" on a spare bit of parchment that he had on him and tied it neatly to Hedwigs leg and sent the owl off. He then happily went to the Slytherin common room and re-read the letter until nearly nightfall.

3 days had gone by and still no sign of Harry or any of the others, Draco was beginning to worry. It seemed like ages since he had seen Harry. Soon a week went by, then 2 Mondays after he had received the letter, he saw Harry entering the Great Hall. "Headmistress McGonagall, would you mind if these prisoners were to be held in the dungeons to await trial? I assure they have all been disarmed and properly searched for any contraband." Harry said loudly as a line of people all locked up in chains closely together, Draco counted 17 and all of them were staring at him with a look of such hatred and disgust, he couldn't help but be frightened. Noticing this, Harry pulled out his wand and flicked it at the line and yelled "Eyes Forward you scum!" McGonagall then walked over to Harry and said "I suppose they can as long as they are guarded by Aurors at all times". Just then one of the Death Eaters broke free and stole a first years wand and pointed it at Draco and screamed "DIE YOU TRAITOR SCUM!!" Harry, thinking quickly, turned on the spot and aimed his wand at the man and yelled "Expelliarmus!!" The death eater went flying backwards but got right back up and stole someone elses wand and pointed it at Harry this time "YOU SHOULD'VE DIED YOU BASTARD!!" Harry aimed his wand again this time taking drastic measures and screamed "CRUCIO!!". The man dropped to the ground writhing in pain but this was short lived, he got back up and said "Ole Bellatrix said you were no good at Unforgivables, lucky for me, I am!" He pointed the stolen wand at Draco and yelled "Crucio!" Harry took aim and screamed, "I DON'T THINK SO!! NOT MY BOYFRIEND YOU BITCH!! AVADA KEDAVRA!!" A jet of the brightest green light came out of Harrys wand and hit the death eater square in the head, and he fell instantly and lay there completely motionless. "Let that be a lesson for you lot" he pointed at the rest of the death eaters "Don't fuck with me" The death eaters all looked more scared than Harry had ever seen anyone look before in his life. He kind of liked being feared.

Harry rushed over to Draco and picked him up. "Draco! Answer me!!" But Draco didn't move. Harry turned quickly on the spot and appareted to the hospital wing where, Madam Pompfrey got hin conscious again in a heartbeat. Draco looked at Harry and said "Bloody hell, dating the Harry Potter is dangerous!" They both laughed and walked out 2 hours later.

The next day, Harry took Draco along (at Draco's insistence) to the ministry to sit in on the trials. 2 of the death eaters got off on the fact that they were under the Imperious Curse, 3 of them, who were involved in multiple torturings and brutal murders, were sentenced to death by Dementor's Kiss, and the rest were only guilty of the crime of being death eaters were sentenced to life in Azkaban. The one that Harry had killed was none other than Yaxley, he would've been sentenced to death by Dementor's Kiss had he not (very foolishly might I add) attacked Harry's lover, Draco.

After the trials, Draco cornered Harry and apparated them both straight to Hogsmeade village and walked into The Three Broomsticks for a drink. "This counts as part of our dinner date Harry." Harry set 7 Galleons on the counter and said "2 butterbeers and 2 shots of firewhiskey please" the bartender looked at Harry and asked "how old are you?" Harry said nothing but revealed his scar and the bartender who was an older man widened his eyes and gave them both what Harry asked for and gave Harry back his galleons saying "Hero's of the wizarding world drink whatever they want for free, Mr. Potter!" Draco smiled and drank his shot and shuddered, Harry on the other hand seemed uneffected by it. After they finished their butterbeers they walked across the street to a restaurant and had a lovely steak dinner. They then apparated back to the castle and Harry, who was exhausted at this point, collapsed on the nearest bed, which happened to be Draco's and fell fast asleep with draco being close behind him.
