Lunaris was sitting in her workshop when she heard a knock. Turning around in her chair, she saw Michael, who looked a little sheepish. "Um.. hi." He coughed out, walking closer when he realized Lunaris couldn't stand currently.
"Hey. Need something, Mikey?" Luna asked once he was standing in front of her.
"I-I guess? I was just wondering if you could teach me how to..." He mumbled the last part and Luna rolled her eyes.
"Speak up?"
"I was wondering if you could teach me how to repair your arm or leg in case it got damaged and you or Troy can't repair them!" He blurted, a small blush appearing on his cheeks as Luna burst out into laughter.
"Is that all?" The lunar asked and Michael nodded. "Alrighty, you're in luck then. I was just repairing my leg." She smiled as she turned back around in her chair, pointing to the metal leg on the table. "It was damaged in my last mission and I had to repair it." She explained, holding up the foot. "Now listen close..."
A few hours later, Luna had just finished explaining the final part of her mechanic parts. "And that mechanism attaches here, which allows it to move like a normal limb."
"It's amazing how this all works with the limited technology you and Troy had at the time.." Michael said, lifting the now fixed leg. Luna smiled and took the leg.
"It's been upgraded with lunar technology, but here's the hard part. Attaching it to my body once more." Luna grimaced as she rolled up the empty pant leg to show the stub that was once a full leg. "It has to connect to my nerves and well, you can kinda get the point." She looked at the stub, the leg, and then Michael before coming to a decision. "I want you to attach it. It's best you learn now, that way you can do it whenever I or Troy can't." She winked, throwing the leg at Michael. As he fumbled around with the leg, trying to get a proper grip, Luna had grabbed a wrench for him.
He put it in place and looked up at Luna, who was now watching him closely. She nodded and grabbed something sturdy. He nodded to her and took the wires that hung from the socket in her leg and the wires on the metal leg and quickly connected him, holding Luna's upper thigh as she jolted in pain from the nerves connecting. She then handed him the wrench and bolts and he finished putting it in place.
"Way to go, you just reattached a leg to a person." She smirked at Michael's frightened face. "Tell Damion and he'll most likely throw my spares at you so he doesn't have to deal with them."
Damion did indeed throw the spares at Michael, hitting the poor guy in the head as Mini laughed in the background, the small girl falling to the floor holding her sides.
----
Lunaris's eyes widened as she fought against the restraints that tied her to the table. She no longer wore her jacket, now only in her tank top and her pants were rolled up, her boots missing. A man smiled down at her and she growled at him.
"Ah-ah-aaahhh! I wouldn't do that if I were you. You could lose an arm," He placed his hand on her metal arm, "or a leg." He placed his other hand on her metal leg. Luna swore as she bucked against the restraints again. "Now, if you would so kindly tell me who your leader is, this could be all over and you could walk free."
"Screw you." Luna spat, glaring at the man, whose smile widened.
----
When Luna regained consciousness, she barely heard the door to the room she was locked in open. "Get away from her!" She heard a familiar voice yell. Blinking her blurry eyes, all she saw was black hair and a gun, then she heard the distinct sound of a body falling. "Don't worry, Luna. I gotcha... Damion will soon be here with Mysteria.." He soothed as she opened her mouth.
"Arm... leg.. he took them.." She managed to get out, her other injuries from before argued against her talking.
"I know, I see them. Let's get these attached and get you home, shall we?" He smiled at her and she nodded. The pain from the connecting nerves was dull in the back of her mind as her other injuries still flared against being moved. Michael cut the restraints and gently lifted Luna off the table and out of the room.
"Knew... teaching you was a.. good idea.." She rasped as she walked beside him, still leaning against him.
"It was my idea in the first place." Michael snorted and Luna chuckled.
"Whatever loser.."
"We really shouldn't have taught you anything about Earth."
"I can still punch you, and not with my flesh hand."
"Oh wow, is that the exit? How did we get here that fast?"
Thunk!
"OUCH!!! WHAT THE FU-"
"Shut up."
----
Ah, the lovely bromance between Lunaris and Michael. Doncha love it? I do.
For those who are curious, Lunaris's left arm and leg are missing due to an accident when she first landed on Earth. She was crushed underneath some boulders which shattered the bones and destroyed the muscles in her arm and leg, and they had to be amputated. Trevor, or Troy for short, is her mechanic and best friend, he was also the first person to find her.
Michael will forever be a little shit. So will Luna. Hence why they're best friends.
