Shower Thoughts

People have hundreds of thousands of thoughts everyday.

Someone thought about you today. It's not a flattery sort of thing, its just a fact. Someone whether it was something someone was unware of, or an obvious thought, your name popped up into someone's head. When you think about it in a deeper sense its very mind boggling. Someone, somewhere, associates you with thoughts and memories of their own. Thoughts and memories and feelings completely different from yours and you'll probably never know. When they think of you, that thought triggers a psychological reaction. The topic of this always seems to lead me down the separate road of what people think of you. When they think of you is it a positive or negative reaction. Do you ever really "love" someone and if so is it absolute? Technically, even if you love someone can't they make a mistake? Sure people say your mistakes aren't you, but your mistakes are a part of you, and if you don't love that person's mistake, doesn't that mean you don't love that person entirely making your love not absolute? Is love even real?

I'm not a philosopher. The whole idea of "love" especially in its absolute form is a foreign concept to me. What is it like to love someone entirely? Is it even possible? Knowing that no one has the answer to these questions is very frustrating. You can sit down on your bed with a cup of coffee at 1:33 a.m. but the truth is I'm no less confused then anyone reading this is. We as humans have this constant need to fill in all of the questions that we have deemed "unanswerable" and we make up myths and legends and fables to make ourselves feel complete. To jam that one last puzzle piece that doesn't go there in, as if we are all children. Theorizing is just grown-ups trying to figure out what we will never know. We call them shower thoughts but the truth is the real thoughts, the true thoughts, are so obscene and complex that we have to reserve certain times to think about them so that our minds don't explode.

We as a society go threw life at full speed trying to slow it down with yoga and technology but we were designed to go fast. To be innovative and intelligent and think for ourselves. You want to know why the human experience is so limited? Because we can't handle the whole story. We were never meant to know it.

And I think I'm ok with that.
