Jason's POV

My eyes opened to loud footsteps coming from beside the bed. I yawned, stretching my arms over my head as I stretched. Once I was awake, I looked over to see Megan leave the room as she slowly closed the door behind her. I don't thing she knows that I'm awake. I heard her soft voice from the other side of the wall. I wonder who she's talking to?

Being the curious person I am, I sat up and got off the bed. I slowly walked up to the door and pressed my ear against the it. Sure, I was eavesdropping but something inside of men wants to know why she was rushing to get out of the room.

"I'm sorry Cameron. I'm safe, don't worry." She said.

Cameron. Her brother? Didn't she mention that she had a brother? Gosh Jason why can't you remember these things.

"Yes, I am at Jason's house."

That caught my attention even more. I wanted to hear more. I wanted to know why. I just wanted to.

"No, I didn't get anything. I'll be there soon. Okay, bye."

The next thing I knew, the door opened, hitting my head.

"Ouch!" I said to myself and I rubbed the side of my forehead.

"Jason?"

I looked up to see Megan. Her arms were crossed in front of chest as she narrowed her eyes at me.

"Since when were awake?" She asked, with a smirk on her face. I was a bit relieved when she smirked, meaning that she wasn't mad.

"About 5 minutes ago. I was going to go downstairs to get something to eat but then you opened the door." I lied.

She nodded slowly, analyzing what I had just said. She opened her mouth to speak but her phone rang again. I chuckled and she rolled her eyes

"Brothers can be so annoying at times" She stated.

"Yeah, but they are like you best friend." I mumbled.

"What?" She looked up, ignoring her call.

"What?" I asked back.

"What?" She asked again.

"What?" I said, starting to smirk.

She laughed. "Shut up. You said something."

"Maybe it was my stomach. I'm hungry as fuck right now." I answered back.

"Go eat something. I have to go home now because my brother is worried. I didn't plan to spend the night here but guess I fell asleep." She said, rushing to go downstairs.

"Wait." I grabbed her arm as I looked at her. "Thanks for making me feel better last night. I really appreciate it."

Her eyes brightened. "No problem. I'll talk to you later."

I let go of her arm and smiled. "See ya."

I watched her leave the house and I found myself replaying last night in my head.

I'm back on track and I'm going to continue writing! I'm so sorry for not updating in SO LONG D: I honestly have no excuse except for school and track and field. *cough*and I guess I was bring a lazy ass too *cough* forgive me please!
