When the meeting ended, Thorin asked Balin to make up contracts for Elsie, Olivia and Bilbo. "I will take Olivia's contract out to Olivia. Besides that, I wish to speak with her." said Thorin. He really wanted to talk to Olivia.  Thorin stepped outside. Thorin found Olivia sitting on a bench, smoking a cigarette. "Olivia, you don't mind if we talk?" asked Thorin. "No. I'm pissed off. Go away." snarled Olivia. "Olivia, listen--I take back the words I said about you and Elsie before. When you told me your family had been killed by Azog, it struck me. I didn't know about Lorkur's death until now." said Thorin. "But you just called him a traitor for marrying an elf!! Apparently have issues with mixed races! Which means you have problems with me and Elsie being part dwarf/elf/ and Vampire!! You have no idea the hell Elsie and I have been going through! Before arriving here, we are being hunted by a dangerous vampire named Lord Vormer. He wants me and Elsie dead!!  And another thing, I never got to now my parents okay? They died after Elsie and I are born. Gandalf was the one that took us to another world, where was adopted by Vampires. You don't undertand how it feels to lose your real parents from a devilish orc!" yelled Olivia. "Olivia, I do too know how it feels to lose family members from devilish orcs. Azog killed my grandfather and brother!" said Thorin firmly.

Olivia quicly fell silent. "Oh--Thorin--I'm--sorry." stammered Olivia. "That's alright. I have the contract here for you to sign. You and Elsie are coming." smiled Thorin. "We're coming?! Oh that's great!" said Olivia with excitement."Olivia.." began Thorin. "What is it, Thorin?" asked Olivia. "You do have any fighting skills do you?" asked the dwarf. "Yes, I do. I am well trained with sword and bow. I studied fencing when I was younger, I'm second degree black belt in martial arts, and excellent with the bow. And I'm very quick with daggers!" Olivia grinned, and she quickly took out her dagger, pointing it Thorin. "Wow! You are very quick!" smiled Thorin.  "I'm very deadly when it comes to throwing these." said Olivia. "I can imagine!" said Thorin. The two of them sat silently for a while. "Come, lets go and join the others. Do you like music, Miss Olivia?" asked Thorin. "Yes I do. I play the recorder, but I don't feel like playing it right now." said Olivia. "My companions and I are going to play some music soon if you want to listen." smiled Thorin. "Oh, I would love to listen! What do you play?" asked Olivia. "Harp." replied Thorin, as they went back inside Bilbo's home.

By the time they arrived inside, Gandalf had finished talking to Bilbo after his fainting spell, and Bilbo retreated to his bedroom. The other dwarves and Elsie gathered in the living room. Elsie already got aquainted with all the dwarves and Bilbo.  Elsie took a strong liking to Fili, and she talked quite a bit with Fili and Kili, most about the silly pranks she used to pull  when she went to school, making the young dwarves laugh. Later, as Thorin and Olivia entered the living room, all the dwarves, even Fili and Kili had their instruments out. Balin brought forth to Thorin an object hidden in green silk cloth, placing it in front of Thorin.  Thorin removed the cloth, and there stood in front of the dwarf, a beautiful golden harp.  Olivia gasped, and wondered how a strong dwarf like Thorin Oakenshield, with his large calloused hands, play such a beautiful delicate instrument? Olivia sat down next to Thorin, as Thorin placed the harp on his lap, pulling it close to his chest.

As Thorin struck the harp, the other dwarves began to play along with Thorin. Olivia and Elsie watched in amazement. "I've always dreamed and wished to see the dwarves play their music. My dream has came true!" sighed Elsie, as she focused her attention on FIli playing his fiddle. Olivia lost attention to her sister. Olivia fell under the spell of Thorin, playing his harp. He looked magnificant. His blue eyes filled with emotion as he played, and the music flowing from his large fingers, telling a story of the song.  Suddenly, Thorin presently began to sing, his beautiful baritone rising above the music, shortly joined in by the other dwarves:

Far over the misty mountains cold

to dungeons deep and caverns old.
