No One's POV:
After delivering the Arkenstone to Bard, they return to the Mountain. And now Olivia feared of Thorin, and she tried everything to avoid him. That same night over dinner, Fili and Kili helped Olivia to join them in the dining hall for dinner. During the entire time as they ate, Thorin had been busy speaking to the dwarves, discussing of the upcoming battle, and barely paid any attention to Olivia. Olivia wanted to get up and leave. She didn't know how much longer she could take of this. "I'm tired I need to go to bed." said Olivia. "But you barely even eat, Olivia." said Elsie. "I'm no longer hungry. I just need some rest." said Olivia. "But you need to eat, you barely touched your plate." said Balin. "What part of not hungry don't you all understand?! I said I'm not hungry!!" yelled Olivia. Dis looked at Fili and Kili, and Balin. "We'll go ahead and take her to her room." said Fili and Kili. "I'll go with you guys. There is something bothering my sister, and I can sense it." said Elsie. And so they took Olivia to her room. They gently laid Olivia on the bed. Olivia broke down in tears in front of Fili, Kili and Elsie. "Olivia, are you okay?" asked Elsie. "No. I'm not okay. I will never be okay!" shouted Olivia.
"Is it Thorin?" asked Kili. "No." said Olivia. "Olivia.." began Kili. "I cannot be out there tomorrow. I cannot face him." said Olivia. "What are you talking about, Olivia? Why don't you want to see Thorin?" asked Elsie. "You don't know, do you?" said Kili. "Don't tell her, Kili!" snapped Olivia. "Will somebody care to tell me what in the hell is going on here?!" snapped Elsie. "Elsie, if we tell you, just promise you will NOT tell anybody of this." said FIli sternly. "I promise I wont' tell. So tell me what is going on here?" said Elsie. Fili and Kili explained to Elsie of Bilbo's plan and how they each had a part in the plan. "Oh..Now I understand.." said Elsie softly. "Now you see why I cannot face Thorin. Its bad enough he's not been talking to me already, and its going to be worse tomorrow. Bard and Thranduil are going to here at sunrise." said Olivia. "Has Thorin been sleeping up here with you?" asked Elsie. "No he hasn't. He's been avoiding me." said Olivia. "He's been too busy locking himself up in the Treasure Room." said FIli sadly. "Just like Great grand pa pa.." said Kili sadly.
"Don't worry, Olivia. We're all going to make it through this. Even Thorin. It may take time for Thorin to come around to himself again, and to love you again. But you must face this. Its the only thing to do." said Elsie. "You're right. I have to be brave." said Olivia. "You have to, if you want to get Thorin back." said Fili gently. Later, after everyone left, Olivia stayed alone in her room. Olivia laid in her bed closing her eyes, but she couldn't sleep. Suddenly, she heard her door open and the sound of heavy footsteps enter her room. Olivia sat up, and she saw Thorin in the room. "Oh, its you." said Olivia softly. "You're not happy to see me?" asked Thorin. "I..." began Olivia. Thorin sat down on the bed with Olivia. "How are you feeling? Oin told me he operated on you today." said Thorin. "Yes. I'm doing fine, Thorin, physically. But mentally I'm not doing so well." said Olivia. "What are yout talking about, Olivia?" asked Thorin. "Why should I tell you? You've been avoiding me lately, and you have no idea how it upsets me. I done no wrong to you. And then the little comment you made to Oin and Dis, but that really done it." said Olivia.
"Olivia, I'm sorry---its just that my mind has been preoccupied." said Thorin. "Yes, by your gold which it seems to be more important than me." mumbled Olivia. Thorin fell silent. "Olivia, nothing is more important than you.." whispered Thorin. "Not even the Arkenstone?" said Olivia. Thorin definitely fell silent on Olivia's remark. "I knew it. I knew its true! The sand blasted stone is more important than me!" snapped Olivia. "Olivia.." gasped Thorin. Olivia turned away from Thorin. "Olivia, I love you....nothing is more important than you." whispered Thorin. "Just leave Thorin. I cannot face you right now." said Olivia. "Fine. Have it your way." said Thorin sadly, climbing out of the bed, and leaving the room, closing the door behind him. Thorin eye's closed, a single tear falling from his eye. What have I done, Mahal? Thorin thought. Then next morning, the dreadful day came. Olivia wasn't sure she wanted to climb out of bed for this. She wasn't sure if she was mentally prepared for this, either. Olivia closed her eyes, taking deep breaths as she slowly sat up. She waited patiently for Elsie to come in and help her. Shortly, Elsie enters. "Are you sure you are ready for this, Olivia?" asked Elsie. "I'm not sure if I should even go out there." said Olivia. "Olivia, you know you have to face him." said Elsie gravely.
