Stay away from my daughter
STORYLINE: You get severely hurt trying to save your boyfriend Bellamy. He blames himself and your father Kane, makes the situation even worse.
You're going to be okay, you're going to be okay, you're going to be okay. You heard your boyfriend repeat the same exact words over and over again, trying to keep you awake. You were barely awake in his arms, with a bullet stuck on your stomach and blood soaking yours and Bellamy's shirt. You were sleepy and it was hard to breathe, like there was something crushing your lungs. You wanted to talk but you couldn't get the words to came out.
"Open the gates." You heard Bellamy shouting. The last thing you remembered, before everything went black was walking through the gates on Bellamy's warm arms and seeing Abby and your father running towards you.
Bellamy put you down on the bed in the medical room and took the hair from your face. Abby rushed to your side and lifted your shirt to see the wound.
"What the hell happened?" Kane asked Bellamy furious.
Bellamy ran his hand through his hair. "She was trying to protect me." His heart was beating faster and faster, at the sight of you laying on the bed unconscious. "The grounder got his hands on a gun and was going to kill me... but she jumped in front of me... and the bullet hit her." He managed to say between breaths.
Kane was about to say something when Abby spoke. "This is bad." The two mens looked at her, that had now her hands all dirty with blood. Your blood. "She needs surgery. Right now."
"Wait, is she going to be okay?" Your boyfriend asked her. Abby looked at him but didn't said anything.
"Abby, is my daughter going to be okay?" This time Kane asked. "Yes or No?"
"I don't know, okay?" Abby said stressing out by their questions. "She lost a lot of blood." She then looked at Jackson who had just entered the room. "She needs surgery. Prepare the things, please." She turned around to look at Bellamy and Kane. "You two, get out."
"What? No way." Bellamy and Kane said at the same time.
"I'm not going to leave my daughter." Kane added.
Abby looked at them irritated. "I'm the doctor here. If I tell you to leave, you got to leave." They didn't move. "Do I have to call someone to drag you two outside?" Bellamy started to walk toward you but Abby stopped him. "We'll let you know when the surgery is over." She assured him.
He turned around and walk out of the ark, with your father right behind him. He had your dry blood all over his face and his shirt. He stopped and zipped his jacket, taking a look at his hands, that were bloody too. He was about to walk away when Kane grabbed his arm.
"Stay away from my daughter." He told him, in a harshly tone. "This is exactly why I don't want you two together. You're bad for her. And sooner or later, you're going to get her killed. I don't want you near her, do you understand?" You and Bellamy had instantly bonded when you two landed on earth with the rest of the delinquents. You loved him and he loved you. But that was something that your father didn't understood. For him, Bellamy was just the criminal, who had shot chancellor Jaha.
"Don't worry, she will not get hurt anymore because of me." He said, removing his arm from his grip and walking away. You had been hurt multiple times because of him and he couldn't let that happen again. It was his fault that you were in that moment on surgery fighting for your life. It should be me, he thought to himself.
Hours passed and Bellamy was sitting in the exact same spot, near the river where you two had shared your first kiss. It was a quiet spot where no one almost went, so it was a great place to think. And he had a lot to think about.
A noise from behind him, took him out of his thoughts. With all the energy drained from his body, he didn't even turned around.
"I could be a grounder." He heard his sister's voice.
"If you were a grounder, I would be dead even before I could hear the noise." He said, as Octavia sat down next to him. He didn't looked at her and just kept his gaze straight ahead.
They stayed silent for a minute, until Octavia spoke again. "She's out of surgery." Bellamy turned to finally look at her. His heart frozen at the anticipation of her next words. "She's still unconscious, but Abby said she's going to be fine." Bellamy let out a sigh of relief and looked down, hiding his face on his hands. "She's going to be okay, Bell." Octavia said, putting a hand on his shoulder.
Bellamy took his hands from his face, but kept his hand down. "She almost died, O." His voice cracking. "She almost died and it's my fault. It's always my fault." He said, bursting into tears.
Octavia felt her own heart break at the sight of her brother crying. "It was not your fault. She was just trying to protect you." She hugged him. "She loves you."
"That's the problem. She shouldn't love me." He said, wiping the tears from his face. "All I do is hurt her."
"What are you saying?" Octavia asked, already suspecting of what he was doing.
"What I'm saying is that, she's better off without me."
"Bell, stop it. Don't push her away." Octavia told him.
"Kane is right. I have to stay away from her." He said, remembering your father's words.
"What the hell are you going to do?"
"I'm going to do what I should have done a long time ago."
