Chapter 16: Walking

Bethany came back and sat by herself. I was about to go and talk to her. But I held back. She looked up at me and I still had tears running down my face. I turned away and walked over to Andrew. He wrapped his arms around me. My side hurt to hug him but I didn't care. I need him to be here for me.

"We should get moving. Rae are you ok to walk?" Peter asked.

"Ya I'm fine," I answered wiping my tears away. I felt some one grab my hand and looked over to see Lucy. I smiled at her and she smile back. I felt some one grab my other hand and saw Andrew. He smiled at me and I smiled at him. We started walking. My side hurt a little but not enough to really bother me.

An Hour Later

My side was hurting so bad. I couldn't take it anymore. I went to my knees.

"Rae you ok?" Andrew asked.

"No! My sister seems to hate me and my side is killing me! I wish I could die!" I answered. I started to cry.

"You guys let's take a rest," Peter said. He must have heard what I said. I looked at him and mouthed 'thank you'. He nodded and sat next to Lucy.

"Ok how about to close your eyes and if you fall asleep and we start to walk again I'll carry you," Andrew said. He sat down and leaned up against a tree. I sat next to him and laid my head on his shoulder. He put his arm around me and I drifted off to sleep.
