Mei x Reader

~(y/n) POV~

Something I don't understand is how people hate the cold. Don't get me wrong, the heat is nice but it feels like it's licking my skin unevenly and with unnecessary force, but the cold feels like it's hugging me in a soft embrace. I shake my head as I grab my necklace, a simple chain with a crooked heart in the middle, both silver. I put it on and hide it in my shirt and walk to the living room area.

"Hey (y/n)! Would you like to join us in a friendly competition of Mario Kart?"

Lucio asks me with a smile. I look over at Hana who was trying to do a weird trick on rainbow road, but failing and falling off the edge.

"Nah. Last time I joined you guys Hana bit my arm and drew blood."

"Because you were cheating!"

"The secret entrenches are not cheating just because you can't get them right!"

She huffs at me and goes back to playing. I sit down next to Genji who was reading a book. I look at the window to see small snow flurries fluttering down. A huge grin spreads across my face as I count down from five.

"Oh hey look," Lúcio points outside. "It's snowing."

Four.

"Cool now stop trying to distract me."

Three.

*BANG*

"The hell was that?!?"

Two.

"I don't kno-"

One.

Zarya almost breaks down the door as Mei rushes into the room, a huge smile on her face and a shine to her eyes.

"外面下着雪. Let's go play in the snow!"

Hana is about to disagree and try to continue playing until practically everyone agrees with Mei.

"Hi Mei. Hi Zarya. I think it'll be nice to go out right now. Just let's go on and put some winter clothes."

"O-oh hi (y-y/n). Ye-Yeah t-that sounds like a plan."

I smile at her red face as I feel my heart turn. I've been with Overwatch a little over a year now and I've made some pretty awesome friends, especially Mei. I met her when I fell threw a vent. I was trying to catch the person,Genji or Tracer, who was playing "Barbie Girl" on loop for three hours. I walked over a weak spot and the bottom fell off and I just laid there, then she came over to see if I was alright. We got to know each other and as the days became weeks I fell in love with her.

"Yo (y/n). Are you seriously going out there when it's -2 degrees F.(-18.8 degrees C)?"

"Well yeah. The snow and the cold gives me comfort and I get to hang out with Mei. It's a win-win."

Lucio lightly laughs as he skates away. I rush to my room put on a sweater, heavy jacket, gloves, winter boots, double pants, and a beanie. I walk outside and see Mei in her usual blue outfit.

"你好，今天我們要做什麼?"

"O-oh hi (y/n). Uh since when do you know know Chinese?"

"I just thought you had a cute-wait I mean I was just learning a new and I thought Chinese would be nice to learn."

"*giggle* Well I feel honored (y/n). Come on! Let's go make snowmen."

She grabs my hand as she goes to a small snow hill. I feel the ice under the snow as I begin to shake and slip.

"M-Mei! W-wait!"

I fall into the pile face first. I try to get out as I get lost in the snow prison. I get out as I see Mei looking frantically for me. Slowly I creep up on her as I wrap my arms around her.

"Ahhhh! (Y/n), don't do that! You almost scared me to death."

"Aww I'm sorry Mei. How about I make it up to you by making hot cocoa when we get inside. That sound good?"

"Hmpf. I guess so. But make sure you add- Snowball what are you doing?"

Looking up I see the cute robot flying crazily above us. I see something hanging off of it. I hold up my hand and quickly grab the green thing. Blushing I realize what I'm holding above Mei, mistletoe.

"S-snowball!? Why-why would you have this."

Snowball giggles and flies off. I my blush becomes brighter when I realize I hadn't put my hand down. I look down only to be met with warm lips. Neither of us pull apart, as I feel Mei shake slightly. Finally I compose myself as I kiss back, my hands holding her close to my body as Mei puts her gloved hands around my neck. Mei pushes onto me which makes us fall back onto the snow.

"*giggle* 對不起，我一定是毀了那一刻."

"Don't worry Mei. The moment was perfect because it was with you a-and I've wanted to tell you something for a long time now."

"What is it (y/n)?"

"W-well I just-I need to tell you that I-I*inhale*. Mei-Ling Zhou I love you and I have for a really long time. I've just been afraid you wouldn't return my feelings."

"Oh (y/n). I love you too. 我愛你."

I cup her face as we lean in for another kiss. We pull apart as we stare into one another's eyes, only seeing love.

~Narrator POV~
Chuckling (y/n) hold ms on to Mei as he makes them role down the snow hill. The only noise you could hear was the loud laughter of Mei and (y/n). They played in the snow for hours, making snow people (Mei having help from the cute robot snowball) and snow angels, having a snowball fight (no robots were harmed in this game), and sharing a short or passionate kiss every time they fell into the winter wonderland. After their adventure and they had gone inside (y/n) made them hot cocoa  and they snuggled together near the fire in a warm blanket.
