The moment we've all been waiting for... Some Stein x Spirit moments! I hope by posting the second chapter right away you forgive me for the short boring first one. I promise it gets better, I just had to do what every author or writer knows, setting the freaking stage no one really cares about in fanfiction.
So.
Here you go.
Enjoy!

The next morning they set out into the desert. After walking until about midday, Stein ordered them to make camp.
"The ladies will sleep there," he pointed to his right, "the boys to our left and Spirit and I will sleep here." He pointed to the ground in front of them and everyone began working on their tents. Maka and Tsubaki would share a tent, Liz and Patti, Black*Star and Soul, and Kid and Crona (though Spirit and Soul were at a loss as to where Crona should go).
"Just like old times huh Spirit?" Stein laughed and slapped him hard on the back.
"Not quite Stein." Stein frowned.
"Don't be that way Spirit. We used to have so much fun." Spirit sighed.
"That was years ago Stein. I thought we agreed to stop."
"Like you said, that was years ago." Stein draped his arm over the red-head's shoulders. Spirit frowned.
"I said don't do anything to embarrass me while Maka's around. Plus we have to watch the kids."
"Who said we had to be with them the entire time?" Stein winked and continued setting up the tent and Spirit helped, avoiding eye contact.
Stein split the kids up into groups and they went out to find flammable material, an interesting feat in the desert.
"Didn't we bring pre-made food?" Spirit asked.
"The kids need to learn discipline." Stein said from where he was lying in the shade of their tent.
"Or you just wanted us alone." Spirit mumbled and Stein laughed.
"Come and relax Spirit." Spirit ripped his eyes away from where the kids had disappeared and sat beside Stein. Stein chuckled and wrapped his arms around Spirit's waist.
"Stein." Spirit sighed in annoyance.
"Oh come on Spirit!" Stein sat up. "You can hardly hold back the smile." Spirit glared at Stein.
"Get off." Stein chuckled and grabbed Spirit's tie.
"What's the matter? Afraid of me?"
"I'm not afraid of you!" Spirit clutched his fists.
"Then show me." Spirit raised his eyebrows. "Kiss me." Spirit gulped.
"Stein-"
"It's fine. You're afraid. I understand." Stein let go of the other man, stood, and turned, his white coat moving in the gentle breeze.
"I am not afraid of you!" Spirit marched up to the man and spun him around. He didn't hesitate before he slammed his mouth to Stein's and then pulled away equally as quickly. Stein's glasses flashed and a smile spread on his face.
"It would appear you aren't afraid of me." Stein pulled the Death-Scythe closer to him. "But are you brave enough to do that again?" Spirit stared at the other man's green eyes and bit his lower lip and felt sweat trickle down his neck as he pressed his lips against Stein's.
Spirit had to admit to himself that it felt good, but he still didn't feel comfortable doing this again.
Stein smiled and wrapped his arms around the red headed weapon. Stein felt Spirit begin to melt into him and he held the man in his arm, his other playing with his silky red hair.
"Just like old times." Spirit whispered around Stein's lips and Stein smiled, pulling the man closer.
