Stein walked out of the operating room exhausted. The surgery had revealed there had been poison on the blade that hit Spirit. Removing it all took hours, but he should be okay in a few days.

"How is he doing?" Stein started and glanced over to see kid.

"He'll be fine. There was poison on the blade the meister wielded." Kid nodded. "Do you have any wounds form it?" Kid shook his head.

"We didn't fight." Stein nodded and slid down the wall. "Professor are you alright?" Stein nodded.

"Just tired."

"Professor, why don't you go back to your house?" Stein shook his head.

"I'm fine. I'll stay here with Spirit." Kid nodded. "I just needed some fresh air. Can you tell the others Spirit will be fine?" Kid nodded. "Thank you." Stein slid back up the wall and opened the infirmary door. "I'll see you in class." And Stein gently closed the door and walked to the back of the room, lighting a new cigarette.

"Hey Stein." Stein spun to see Spirit looking at him.

"Spirit!" He walked over and pulled the cigarette out if his mouth and placed a gentle kiss on spirit's lips. Stein pulled up a chair and sat beside the weapon. "You need to rest." He whispered, playing with the silky red hair.

"I know. Thank you." Stein smiled.

"Thank you." Spirit smiled. "If you would have given up-"

"Shh. I didn't it's all fine now." Stein smiled.

"Rest up. I'll be here if you need anything." Spirit nodded and quickly fell asleep. Stein stayed their the entire night.
