Hey! An author note here. This chapter is a descriptive optional chapter. This means that it sets the environment around an area that will be used a lot, and in some parts here it explores a few characters feelings about their new home. This chapter does not have a direct link to the plot, which is what makes it optional! Cool, right? So, if you feel up for some extra quality clone content, read this chapter and drop a comment below! The next chapter will be somewhat short, but we hope you enjoy it none the less! If you just want to get on with the story, then skip ahead to Chapter 4 - Don't worry, you won't miss anything really important.
Love from Ham and Amy :-)

The brand-new Ford Transit Passenger Van grumbled along the dirt road, heading up a large hill through marvellous greenery. The trees were as old as time itself - marks of their age hidden in the lines of the bark and the curve of the branches. The carpet of grass was covered with dew and glistened like emeralds in the light. Wild flowers were clumped or scattered, their beautiful colours adding to the disorganised rainbow of nature. Birds were perched high in the ancient trees, chattering away as the clones sped past in the car. A disruption to the calm surroundings. Sarah leaned against the car door, looking up to the ever-changing canopy that towered high above; branches interlocking in attempts to shut out the light. Rachel really made it off grid – they had been travelling for eight hours, six of which had been spent in the countryside with hardly any people to be seen. It was slowly darkening as the sun began to slip below the trees, creating a beautiful golden glow that illuminated the surroundings of the natural pillars holding the thick clusters of leaves above. Suddenly, the car began to groan and slow down, chugging for a little while longer until it completely gave up. Alison let go of the wheel as Gemma and Oscar piped up.
"Mom? Why are we stopping?" Gemma asked, leaning over the seat, her brown curls falling past her shoulder. Alison smacked her hands down on the steering wheel and sucked her lips in. She turned to Donnie – whom was sat on the seat beside her – and shook her head.
"Is the car broken?" Oscar added, popping up over the other seat with his sister.
"I don't know sweetie. Whatever it is, daddy can get out of the car and fix it!" She snapped in a sweet tone at Donnie, leaning back and lifting her eyebrows when her husband glanced over at her. Cosima took her earbud out and moved her gaze to Delphine – who had been asleep for a few hours now. She smiled and quickly took a photo of her, her golden curls almost glowing in the dappled sunlight filtering through the window. She placed the earbud back in and turned back to the window. Donnie grumbled and opened the door, stepping out onto the dirt track. Art (who was driving his own car and stopped behind them) unbuckled his seatbelt and strode over to Donnie. They popped the lid of the van and began to examine it – Donnie, acting like he knew what he was doing, started rubbing his chin and putting on a concerned expression.
Meanwhile, in the car, Krystal began huffing.
"Oh my god...it's like way too hot in here and my makeup is going to like melt off of my face." She muttered, her hand stiff as she waved it next to her perfectly curled eyelashes. She clambered over Tony who rolled his eyes as her hair draped over his face.
"Woah! Mind where you're putting your hands" he laughed, leaning away from her before continuing, "Those nails are vicious darlin." He ducked as her clawed fingers swiped back as she moved out of the vehicle, Felix rolling his eyes as she tottered around in the dried dirt - her voice rising upon mucking her new heels.
"No! No, I don't do dirt, these shoes are worth more than this car! Someone needs to clean my shoes oh my god. Let me back in." She whined, her words scrambling as a look of disgust settled on her face where a pout usually resided. As she tried to get back in Tony put his legs up, blocking her way.
