"Her blood flows fast,
Fast enough to paint her arm scarlet
Every time the blade kisses
Her tender forearms. His eyes are wide,
Wide enough to fight off sleep,
But not the darkness that whispers,
'You are worthless",Her father never holds her.
His mother always cries.
Her friends are getting tired.
His friends are in his mind.Their pleas are often quiet
A barely audible whimper
That is muffled by the loud voices
Of those who open their mouths
And shut their ears."
