Beck walked into his RV with the two former pop stars, Tori walked to her place to get some clothes for them to wear then she would be back, so he was alone with two famous singers that he wouldn't admit he was a fan of.
"So, do you like our music or did your girlfriend drag you to the concert?" Jade asked making Beck turn around and laugh.
"Tori's not my girlfriend and I wouldn't say she dragged me there."
"So you like it?"
Beck ran a hand through his hair. "I wouldn't say that either." He chuckled.
Jade picked something up off his bed and tossed it at him. He caught it. "So, what would you say?"
He looked down and saw it was his Black Sunshine band tee from their first concert. He chuckled nervously. "Well, I, uh, I wouldn't say it out loud."
"And why not?" Jade crossed her arms over her chest and glared.
Beck shrugged. "Uh, the guys I hang with, they think it's just pop crap."
Jade rolled her eyes then she sighed. "Yeah, well so do I, but they won't let us sing what I write so-"
"You write songs?"
"Yeah, but they're "too dark for our image" or whatever." She mocked making air quotes.
Beck shrugged. "Well, you are the dark one, right? Who cares if your songs are darker?"
Jade scoffed. "The label, our manager, and half the music producers we work with."
Beck frowned. "That sucks. Why make you the dark one if they don't want you to be dark?"
Jade sighed. "They didn't make me the dark one. I am dark, they let me "be myself" just not too much of myself. I still have an image to uphold."
"At least you can be a little dark." Cat chimed in. "I can't even be caught on camera frowning. I have to smile all the time!" She groaned in frustration.
Jade sighed. "Yeah, well, price we pay being... popular." She scoffed.
Cat groaned again. "Oh I hate singing that one!"
"So do I, but we have to."
"Had too. You're out now. You guys are free."
Jade sighed and then a smile broke across her face. "We are free now." She walked over and kissed Beck's cheek. "Thanks to you."
Beck tried to hide his blush. "Any time."
Cat looked over at her best friend and their new friend, the guy who saved them from a life they just didn't want to lead anymore, and smiled. She was just about to say something when the door opened up and Tori walked in carrying bags.
"Okay, you can choose whatever you want and then we can go shopping tomorrow. Oh I also brought the two hair dyes that were in my room in case you really wanted to change your looks."
Cat sprung off the couch. "Yes! I haven't been able to dye it a different color in two years!" She yelled in excitement and slight annoyance.
Tori raised a brow. "Uh-"
"The manager won't let her switch from bright red because it's a selling point, and I can only dye mine if I get an image change approved, but if I do that than I can't be somewhat myself."
Tori frowned. She looked from Jade to Cat and felt awful for them, but then she smiled and held up two boxes. "So who wants to be blonde and who wants black?" She said.
Jade quickly grabbed the black hair. "You're blonde because that ain't me." She said to Cat then she walked into Beck's small bathroom and shut the door behind her.
Cat shrugged. "Okay. I'll be blonde!" She said still exicted about changing her hair color for once.
