Chapter 42: Cut Me Open

BLADE'S POV

*One Month Later*

I was finally able to get Gabe to agree to have another child. He thought about it for a while, and after realizing how much fun it would be to finally have a little girl, we started to try. I've been having symptoms so I bought a test, hoping I was pregnant.

"We're home!" I heard Blake yell. My eyes widened and I rushed out of my room, greeting the boys.

"Hey, can you send your father into our room when he gets home?"

"Yeah." They said.

"Thanks." I said, hugging them and going into the kitchen to start dinner. I didn't want to look at the test until Gabe was home.

"I'M HOME!" Gabe yelled an hour later. I was pacing around the bedroom, going crazy. I really wanted to look at the test but I was making myself wait until Gabe was home.

"DAD!" The boys yelled, running downstairs.

"Mom wants you in your room." I heard Christian say.

"Oh...oh." He said, realizing what I wanted. I told him I was getting a test today. He sent the boys back upstairs and walked into the room.

"Hey." He said, closing the door behind him and starting to take off his work clothes to get into more comforable clothes. "So, did you take it?"

"Yes, but I've been waiting for you to get home before I looked at it."

"Well, let's go." He said, fully dressed. I nodded and we both walked into the bathroom. I took a deep breath and looked down at the test on the counter, covering my mouth so I wouldn't alarm the boys.

"What does it say?" Gabe asked as I started to cry.

"Positive." I said with a smile.

"Oh my god, that's wonderful!" He exclaimed, picking me up and spinning me around. I sobbed into his shoulder. "I can't wait." He smiled, resting his hand on my flat stomach.
