( I won't always be writing down the PoV because it doesn't make sense when it's the same person so have a look on the part before if you don't know who's PoV it is right now. And now enjoy reading)
A few weeks later I had signed a contract with Island Record but to start my career I had to write a song. And that's the big problem! I can't write anymore! Everything I write down is just rubbish or I can't even think of something. Three days I sat in my room only going out of it for school.
It's Saturday evening. I still haven't written anything good and I'm so frustrated right now!
I need some fresh air. I grab my jacket and start to wander around the streets, just going forward not looking where I actually was when the view suddenly change. I look up to realize I'm in a forest.
"Great, this will be a long walk out of this!" I mumble. I am totally lost. I should've looked where I'm going!
Ok just go ahead! You'll find a way out! I think and sigh.
I go ahead and stand on a little lake. A beautiful view. Clear water, some flowers and some rocks are standing the lake. When I look closer I can see a silhoutte sitting on a rock, watching me. I walk closer to the shore when the person suddenly stands right before me with sparkling eyes.
"Who are you?" She asks. Yes, it's definitely a girl but I've never seen her before. I would remember such beautiful, sparkling, green-blue eyes.
"I asked you something!" She got a little angry now and I struggle with my answer. I just can't look away from those eyes!
"Hello! Do you hear me?" She shakes her hand before my eyes.
"Äh... Yes, yes..." I say but What was the question again? is what I think.
"Who. Are. You?" She asks again.
"Ähm.. My name is Shawn..." Wow I had never thought this long about what my name is.
"Okay Shawn, I want you to go away from here! It's my lake and I don't want someone to be here. Especially no strangers so please go!" She looks me in the eyes again and again I forget the world around me.
"It's beautiful here. Why are you alone?" I ask instead of doing what she wants me to do: leaving.
"I like to be alone." She looks to the ground, playing with a ring on her finger. She has this tired and sad look in her eyes. I know this look. I have it too sometimes when I come home from school. The feeling to be hated by the world.
"I don't believe you." I said.
"Well, I don't care!" She snaps at me "So please go, leave me alone and never tell someone about this place!"
Woah what was that? First this fragile looking beauty and now she looks so confident and strong again. It's like I'm talking with two different girls.
"Ok I'll leave but I wanna know who you are." I say.
I just can't leave her alone in the forest! I have the need to protect her. It's crazy! I "know" her for maybe five minutes? But there was something on her that keeps be thinking.
"Please just leave me alone." She says, looking tired again. Then she turns around and sits on the stone again.
I should go. She really don't want me around. But... I need to protect her! She seems so small sometimes and then she is the strong warrior again.
When I look up to speak to her again she is already gone. Nobody sits on the rock anymore.
Did I just dream this?
I start my way back home. Now thinking about this girl instead of the song I have to write...
Coming home I was the only one still awake in the house so I decided to go to bed too. Instead of sleeping there are some lines dancing in my head. As fast as I could I write them down and start to hum a melody.
At 3 am I am finished and fall asleep right away when I lay down in my bed.
I have written my first song!
Basically it was just a song about the world from my perspective. Ok... to be honest I made up some things but the title is inspired from today. From my walk into nowhere. It's called...
LOST.
