A Shawn Mendes Fanfiction?

Never be alone

(This part is set a few weeks after the conversation from Nicky and Shawn about SOMETHING BIG. Shawn wrote a few more Songs but decided they're not good enough. He currently is a bit upset about the things Andrew, his manager, said in a call yesterday)

Shawn's P.o.V.

I hate packing! I always have the feeling I have forgotten something. Why can't I just stay here? I can write songs at home too! I don't have to go to California for that! I don't want to leave my family! I don't want to leave Nicky. ... Shit I totally forgot to tell her! Will I se her once more before I have to go in two days? Dammit! I will go and hope she's at the lake today. I forgot to ask for her number again! I'm such an idiot!!!

I grab my jacket "I will go out for a bit mum!" I yell, opening the front door "I'll be back at seven!" I say and close the door agaon before she can stop me. I run towards the lake. She will be there. She will be there. I say to myself over and over again. She needs to be there!

I walk through the trees and... yes she's there!

"Nicky!" I yell and run towards her pulling her into a tight hug. "You won't believe how happy I'm to see you here!"

"Why?" She asks smiling up to me.

"I need to tell you something important." I say pulling away a bit to look her in the eyes. "I need to go, Nicky." I say trying not to let the tears get out of my eyes. Her smile fades away and she just nods at me.

"Just for a bit. I'll be back very soon! I promise." I hug her again, whispering "Just let me hold you once more. You'll never be alone. Just close your eyes and remember me as when I am here. There will be thousands of miles between us but I'll always be by your side." I put a small piece of paper in her pocket "This is my phone number. You can call me everytime, whenever you want. I promise I'll be there for you."

She nods and I feel how she wipes away some tears. "I'll miss you Shawn" She says quietly.

"I'll miss you too Nicky." We stand there for... I don't know how long we stand there, hugging and promising each other we won't forget us and as soon as I'm back I'll meet her again. When we finally pull apart I say "My heart will be here with you Nicky. I really don't want to leave you but I have to go now." She nods again and kiss me on the cheek.

"I'll see you when you come back." And with that we both go back at our homes.

I never thought this would be so hard, saying goodbye to her.

During my way home I have another idea for a song. A song for Nicky that'll show her she'll NEVER BE ALONE.
