"Are you alright?" Lan Shang asked, fondly looking at the fire princess who is currently studying the room they're in. The two are now in the Bu'er manor. Princess Ming Yue decided that it would be better for her daughter to stay with Lan Shang. Besides, she's sure that Ziyan (Yan Da) will be safe with the mermaid princess.

"I'm fine," the fire princess answered, smiling. "But can you leave me alone for a while?"

Lan Shang nodded. "Okay, just come to my room if you needed me. It's the one beside yours."

Yan Da nodded. Lan Shang then left, reporting to her father.

The fire princess then sat down on the bed. Her eyes on the floor. When she woke up, her mother immediately talked to her about going with Lan Shang. Yan Da sighed. She did feel a connection with the other but she was hesitant about leaving her mother. She knew that something was up. Her mother isn't one to make these decisions quickly.

She's trying to protect me from something... but what? She hadn't been sleeping well too. What's going on mother? I hope you'll tell me soon.

With Xiao Yu and Wuji...

The two are now in the town were the Bu'er City is. Currently, the two are trying to get in the Bu'er manor.

"Are you here to gamble?" The guards asked. "The gamble house is that way."

"Uh, no. We heard that the Bu'er Manor is recruiting disciples." Xiao Yu answered cheerfully.

"You are here to apply?"

"Yes. Let's go." He said, calling Wuji. They were about to enter when the guards stopped them.

"Wait. Show us your recommendation letter."

"Recommendation letter?"

"This is a rule. In order to enter the manor, you need a letter of recommendation."

Xiao Yu crossed his arms, quickly thinking of something. "Oh, but if we're famous swordsmen, we wouldn't need that?"

"Naturally." The guard answered, looking at the duo.

"Okay, then listen. We are the famous Jiangnian's fearless gambling duo."

Suddenly, two beat up men were thrown outside the gate.

"Eh! What happened to them?" Xiao Yu exclaimed in surprise.

"They tried to cheat their way in without recommendation letters." The guards answered.

"Oh, how atrocious!"

"So, you two are Jiangnian's gambling duo?"

Xiao Yu laughed, putting his arms up. "No, you heard it wrong! It's a misunderstanding." He said, quickly pulling Wuji aside and leaving the place.

"What now? We can't even enter the place without a recommendation letter!" Wuji asked tiredly.

Xiao Yu just looked at him calmly. "I'm sure that I can come up with something."

"Hey..." a man then whispered behind Xiao Yu.

"What is it?" asked Wuji.

"You want Bu'er manor's recommendation letters?" the man said.

"And so?" Xiao Yu returned.

"I can help with just ten taels." The man answered confidently.

"But you're sneaky and dubious looking. I don't trust you." said Xiao Yu.
