CHAPTER 4 - THE HAPPY ENDING

It wasn't that he took an advantage on his friend. He was just tired. All of that was like a blurry dream to him. The girl of his dreams being next to him and snuggling into his chest. The way her peaceful breath was landing on one of the boy's arms, the way her eyes were closed showing her beautiful eyelids, the fact of embracing her, all of this made him forget about the whole world. It was just too perfect to be real. Hours passed and it was almost 10 a.m., when Kori woke up. She was still laying with closed eyes until felt someone's arms holding her. Her emerald eyes opened carefully. Kori's first reaction at the position she was in was surprise and a little shock. Then she realized she must've fallen asleep like this last night. Her cheeks became pink eyes widened. The position was really awkward but still quite comfortable though. She saw that Dick was still asleep so she decided to stay like this for a little while longer. Her embrace tightened a little as she snuggled even more. Wide grin spread across her face as she was slowly falling asleep again. Suddenly some noise woke up all teenagers. Before anyone could see, Kori and Dick separated and blushed deeply red at the same time. It was a car horn. Kori's mom has arrived to pick her daughter up. The girl quickly grabbed her stuff and rushed toward doors saying 'Good Bye Friends!' along the way. Dick rushed as well and walked her outside.

"So, what a night, right?" Dick started to break the ice.

"Indeed. It was most delightful." Kori returned with a wide smile. Even though her hair were a little messed up and despite the fact she's woken up just a moment ago, she still looked beautiful to the boy. They both stood there looking at each other when suddenly Kori's mom used the horn again. Both Kori and Dick snapped out of the mood and looked away.

"So, we shall meet today at your house Dick?" The girl asked hopefully twiddling her index fingers which reminded the boy of his promise.

"Yeah, right. Just call me whenever you're ready and I'll pick you up." He answered scratching the back of his head. Kori smiled and went to the car where her mother was waiting. She waved to the boy for goodbye before the car got out of the view. Her sight was targeting on the sky through the car's window. Her mind was consumed with memory of Dick embracing her on the couch while she was snuggling into him. Richard's heart was easily hearable and she could feel his chest slowly rise and fall with every breath. A pleasant shiver went through her spine as she thought about it.

"So, how was your party?" Kori's mom suddenly asked with curiosity. As almost every mother she knew that her daughter's relations with Richard were something more than just a friendship.

"It was glorious! First we played the 'Truth or Dare' game, next we started to watch the movies like horrors and action, between every movie we had a little break to talk... I am glad that I have found such kind and good friends!" Kori replied with excitement. Her smile was expressing everything.

"Sounds like you had fun. I'm glad that you acclimated here so fast. So, from what I've heard back on the driveway you and Richard are gonna meet today?"

"Yes. I hope there is no obstacle today for me to go out?" The girl asked with pleading sight. Kori's mom rolled her eyes with a smile and wore a thoughtful look.

"Well... I guess not. You can go." She finally stated which made her daughter shriek cheerfully.

"So, is this some kinda date or something?" Curious mother asked interested. Kori blushed deeply red and looked on the floor

"Mom..." Teenager complained shyly with her cheeks hot and red.

"Alright, alright I get it. You don't wanna talk about it. But if you change your mind, you know where to find me. I'll always help you." Her mom assured her. This time Kori smiled with a thought that she could always count on her mother with this subject, even though it was kinda awkward. During the rest of the road she put on her earphones listening to her favorite songs.
