CHAPTER 3 - THE PLAN

It's been almost 2 months since Victor got his 'idea' and yet didn't share with it. Richard gave up on looking for the answer thinking that it was probably nothing. After all, the month passed and there was no sign of anything. Instead of being concerned about nothing, the boy was developing his relations with Kori. He was trying with all his power to make her feel like in home, to make her feel that she belongs here and nowhere else. They both got to know each other very well. Dick, if he wanted, could literally write a book about Kori's habits, expressions, childhood etc. He already met her mother and learned a little about her family. Unfortunately, it was the only thing that didn't work the other way around. Whenever the girl asks him about family or where his home exactly is, he's always quickly changing the subject. She noticed it immediately, but decided to just wait for him to tell. It was a lunchtime in school right know. Rachel, Kori and Richard were already at their table.

"Hey, did you see Gar or Vic?" Dick asked surprised. It was odd. They were always first at the lunchtime to claim the table.

"No, I haven't seen them since IT." Rachel answered peeking out of the book. He turned his sight toward Kori.

"Me neither." She responded. The boy was sitting next to her. He likes being close to her, but it's also always pretty awkward to him. Her presence is making him weak at the knees. He's trying to control his behavior, to stay cool. Unfortunately, usually he's doing something goofy. For example, the sudden silence right now made it to him even harder. Kori was eating her lunch while looking at the history book. Today was supposed to be a test. Dick didn't even notice when he started to quietly crooning Kori's favorite song. All he had on mind was the girl next to him. Suddenly, realizing what he's doing, the boy looked up from his meal and met stares from both Rachel and Kori. Rachel just rolled her eyes ignoring it, but then there was Kori. Richard could feel his cheeks becoming hot. She cutely furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. Richard wasn't having a problems in talking with her. It' just that sometimes his thoughts drives in some kinda new high level of loss. 'Does she like me?' 'Am I being too much intrusive?' 'What does she think about me? What does she think right now?' All of that was making him speechless. He saw a curiosity within her shining emerald eyes. He knew she was about to ask about his crooning. She was ready to start her sentence but then Garfield came in interrupting her at the last moment.

"Hey guys!" He shouted happily. Victor was standing next to him. They both sat in their places with excitement on their faces.

"Hello friends!" Kori replied with smile on her face. Rachel just nodded that she's aware of their appearance and came back to reading.

"Where have you guys been?" Dick asked with curiosity.

"Oh, you know, we were just working on the details of the movie night party!" Garfield stood on his chair and chuckled to catch his friend's attention. "I announce that you are all officially invited on a movie night party on today, at 6 p.m. in my house!" Looking at Rachel he quickly added, "Which will include some of the best horrors!"

"Alright, I'm in." She said with a little smile.

"Glorious! I shall come as well." Kori exclaimed happily.

"Sounds cool, count me in" Dick said and immediately saw Victor blinking to him. That was his brilliant idea to get both lovebirds closer. He blinked back which Kori noticed. She looked at him once again in confusion.

"Damn, I've got something in my eye." He explained nervously while quickly starting to rub his eye. Kori suddenly brightened remembering what happened before Garfield interrupted. She grabbed her earphones out of the backpack and put them into her phone. Then she handed one of the earphones to Richard.
