The tension in the hospital room was almost smothering. The short, yet rather intimidating beeps of the heart monitor rose above all other seemingly insignificant background noise created by the two boys occupying room.

"I'm so sorry, Tweek..." Craig started. The sudden interruption of the silence was surprising, yet not completely unexpected. Someone had to say something eventually or they might as well have been dead. Something Tweek did not want to experience again. Craig has been informed of what the crash in the janitors closet was. A giant shelf had collapsed, smashing down all sorts of chemicals, sharp objects and heavy metal onto Tweek's sobbing body that  was then strewn helplessly on the floor, crushed under the weight of almost half a ton, heart stopped. Craig was also crushed, but instead with the guilt of the situation. Tweek's hyperventilating was non existent, but replaced with a rather unnerving wheezing of the makeshift tracheotomy.

"C...Craig..." Tweek managed, his throat still raw. "It's not... your fault..." He stuttered. Deep down, Craig knew it was. If he had just listened and helped him deal with his emotions, they wouldn't be here right now.

"Don't lie, Tweek. If I had just l-"
"Don't gimmie that crap, Craig. This is not your fault. But hey, imagine all the coffee I could buy with the money that the school is paying us!" Tweek had started to perk up a bit, his voice getting adjusted to being used again. A small smile creeped across Craig's face, seeing how his boyfriend was cheering up. God, he's so cute when he's happy. The tension in the room was completely gone, as Death looked down upon the two small boys and thought, "I'm glad I spared the Tweek boy. He still has much potential for this life." A rare grin formed as Death moved on. The boys chattered into the night, all worries forgotten, all lies and slander forgiven and all arguments resolved. The future looked good.
