Chapter 6 Talking to the boss

Me and Lauren walked into the bakary. I whent up to the desk and they gave me the useual bakary bullshit "hello wellcome what can i get for you today?" Said the lady behind the counter with a fake grin plasterd on her face.

"Can you get me jeffrey i need to talk to him" i said calmly. Her exspreshon changed to a pissed off look. "Fine." She said in a angrey tone she ternd her head slightly "jeffrey you son of a bitch come hear now!" She yelled. He came running out of the back and saw me and Lauren standing there. Lauren spoke up " jeff we need to talk to your manager. And no bullshit waiting list i wana see him now you got it!" The way Lauren said this made her sound protective and strong. It didnt suprise me i thought she would be this way she always looked so strong.my mind began to wonder but i snaped out of it when i herd "Right this way" from jeffrey he said it while
letting us behind the counter. He let us into the back as he knoked on the door. A calm and jentle voice replyed. I had a good feeling about this.

"Sir its jeffrey i have two girls who would like to speek with you." Jeff spoke into the door. "Send them in"
Me and Lauren walked in. From the second we entered i could tell he was eyeing up Lauren this pissed me off a lot and i wasnt shure why. I was very protective of her. And i got very jelous as he looked at her. We sat down as he spoke.

"Well laidies what can i do for you"
He said stairing into Laurens eyes.

"We would like you to give us some food on a daisly basis. We are planing to start a LGBT+ homless shelter for young kids and we need some food to give them. We thought that this bakary would be perfect as you have amazing food and one doughnut from hear can be the equivalant of a whole days meal on the street so please consider helping us help the less fortunut" i said this i quite a loud voice just so he would look at me as i could sence he was makeing Lauren uncomftabull.

"Whats in it for me?" He asked as he staired back at Lauren.

She spoke up "you will be known as the kind harted man who helped save the lives of tons of young kids on the streets. The press would hear about it as they always do getting your bakary well known and you will soon have your shop flooded with costamers" Lauren made it sound like he was getting a better profit than we where but he was wrong. He would make money while we would make people smile.

"That sounds like a great deal to me" he said walking around the desk.

We both stood up Lauren whent to shake his hand but he had a difrand plan. He grabed her at her hip and pulled her in he smiled and her. A descusting pedofile smile. She pushed him away "what do you think your playing at!" She yelled at him.

He just smirked and grabed her chin he closed his eyes and whent to kiss her. But instead of a kiss he got a broken nose. Faster than the human eye could follow Lauren had puched him. He landed on his ass. As she yelled at him

"I wont call the police and have you aressted for sextual harassment if you acept our deal" he grunted as she held out her hand. He had a verry pissed of exspreshon on his face as he shook her hand. "Glad to do bussness with you"she said in a very sassy tone as she walked away. I followed as we left.

Jeff took one look in the room befor he said "sorry i didnt warn you he is a bit of a pevert" i shruged "we sorted it out" i said as i exated the bulding we turned into the allyway to see everyone awake. We told them the good news and then we all agreed to spread the word. Matt and celeste whent one way. Daisy and finch whent the other way. And me and lauren headed across the street.

Today had been a good day. We could help people now. But i couldnt stop thinking about how protective i was over Lauren. I realised i was staring at her and looked down at the floor.
"Are you ok" she asked
"Yeah im fine. How are you" i replied blushing slightly.
"Im okay."
We both walked in silance befor we came across a group of kids dressed in rags we told them of the shelter and where it would be located. They all seemed happy at the idea of this shelter and asked if there was any way they could help. We just told them to spread the word.
