The Next Day Jack Napier Calls

Jack Napier's P.O.V. So i am working at my therapist job at Arkham which i had gotten almost as soon as i had been cleared from Arkham Asylum on account of being declared sane by the many doctors and therapists once more which i couldn't have without the help from my former arch-rival Batman who had helped me regain my past sanity by personally rehabilitating me alongside my long-time girlfriend Harley Quinn who had also been cleared for regaining her sanity i had before i had fallen into that vat of acid all the years ago at Ace Chemicals plant-unintentionally on Batman when he had tried to save me from falling into a vat of acid after having stopped me from helping some mobsters pull of an unsuccessful bank heist by going through the Ace Chemicals building after the botched attempt and Batman failed attempt to save me from falling i then plummeted from the catwalk that was above the vat of acid then proceeded fall into the vat of acid when i had awoken outside of the acid vat i then went home and when i had gotten home i went into the place where i had lived since my pregnant wife had died just a few days ago i then walked into my master-bathroom i then looked into the mirror to my utmost horror i had found that from falling into the vat of acid had critically changed my appearance my face had been turned pale white and my hair been bleached from the acid that changed its color from dark black to seaweed green when i had saw what i had become i just lost what little sanity i had left i then had taken a knife and had carved a near permanent smile onto my lips i then proceeded to become Gotham's greatest threats during which at one point during one of my many many stays in Arkham i meet someone who would eventually help me regain control of my life once more and that person name was Harleen Frances Quinzel who was at the time a therapist at Arkham who had fallen madly in love with me after i had told her my rather depressing childhood and why do what i do after she had helped me escape from Arkham a few the Arkham staff eventually had gotten wind that there was someone in their mists that kept letting me escape eventually they found out it was Harley and upon finding out they then proceeded to strip her of her credentials and once they done that they then cast her aside and from then on the 2 of us made the lives of the civilians of Gotham as well as Batman's a living hell until well about 12 months ago when i had come up with a plan to blow up the downtown Gotham Clock-tower which kinda looks like London's Big Ben just for the hell of it, after the bomb had been set and i was just about detonate the bomb when the voice of my long-time deceased wife Liz who then spoke in my head saying Jack please stop this nonsense you are better than this what happened to the many i married all those years ago and i replied he had died the day that you had died in labor as well as the day that he had crawled out of that vat of acid she then continued even still look at what you have become one you murdered Jim Gordon's wife while she tried to stop you on that one Christmas Eve when you had filled a whole room full of babies and when you threw that baby at her for to catch you then proceeded to shoot an unarmed female who was busy holding the baby at that point in cold-blood the man i married would've not done such a horrendous thing, two you brutally shot Jim Gordon's daughter Barbra through the spine and now she's currently a paraplegic who's confined to wheelchair due to your terrible deed not to mention that you then kidnapped Commissioner Gordon from his home where you had shot his daughter Barbra you then proceeded to take to your hideout at the run down Gotham Fairgrounds while there you tried to brake his sanity and show to not just Batman but the Commissioner as well is that all it takes to destroy someones sanity is just one bad day you're lucky Jim had sent Batman to confront you because do want to know what would have happened if he had confronted you instead of Batman and i replied what Liz what would have happened me and she responded with he would killed you Jack if he would have been the one to confront you instead of Batman the man i married would have never done such terrible things to someone just make a point, three you murdered a young Jason Peter Todd in cold-blood as well as his mother in an abandoned warehouse after you had beaten Jason to near death and if you thought that wasn't funny enough you then left them their to die in a horrific explosion do you know how much pain you caused Batman and i replied filled with regret-fullness how much did i cause Batman and she replied so much he contemplated committing suicide which he nearly did until Tim Drake the third Robin joined him to fight criminals like you with some-much passion and determination no wonder why Jason hates your guts because you frankly deserve it because the man i loved and cared about would never done such a thing plus he would have at least tried to get rehabilitation from the Arkham staff instead constantly escaping and killing and just making everyone's lives miserable, and finally four you treat Harley like your personal punching bag constantly when she's the one that deeply cares about you when no one else truly cares about you as much as she does and frankly for all your horrendous decisions i'm completely disgusted with your actions and i replied than why are you here if your are angry with the decisions that i have made and she replied because i still love you Jack and point of me talking to you is because i still believe that there's still some good in you and i hope that you decide to go back to Arkham and get rehabilitated there because deep down i know that you can still change i then sighed and said okay Liz you have made your point i will go back to the Asylum and get help and Liz replied good i always knew that there was still good inside you Jack i then said Liz before you go do you still love even after all the things that i have done and she replied yes i still love you Jack don't forget i am always with you both in your brain and heart she then finished saying I love you Jack and don't forget you're never alone and with that Liz's voice disappeared from my head i then looked down at the detonator in my hand i then proceeded to set it down after i had done so i dropped to my knees both from shame guilt and sorrow after a while I then proceeded to stand back up and walk to the clock tower window i then proceeded to look out the clock-tower window repeatedly saying what have i become because this not the real Harley must have noticed that i was very distracted she then said what's wrong Mista J why aren't you your normal self and i replied i just had my epiphany Harley and i have decided that i am going back to the Asylum to get rehabilitated and she then started laughing and once she realized that i was serious she then said oh you're serious and i replied yes Harley i am serious about this Harley then said okay we'll go turn ourselves into the GCPD she then said wait what about the bomb and I replied dismantle it and then Harley walked over to the bomb and manually dismantled it with her bare-hands once Harley had finished dismantling the bomb i then said now we head to GCPD Headquarters to turn ourselves in at the GCPD building and over a matter of months of intense mental and emotional therapy was able to regain my sanity that i had before falling into that vat of acid upon release from Arkham the staff at Arkham offered me a therapist job which i gladly accepted after some serious thinking i am leaving Arkham now after a long day at Arkham i then headed to the house that Harley and I share together once i had gotten there i found the spare key in a bush i then proceeded to unlock the door to the house once i had opened the door i found the house pretty much empty since all of Harley's stuff was just completely all gone i then walked over to the kitchen counter-top there i found a note which read Puddin i'm out of town for a unknown amount of time because of a family emergency that had taken place by time you have this i'm already there but i will see you soon love Harley once i had finished reading the note i then walked over to the couch and then proceeded to pull out my cellphone and started to dial Harley's phone-number once she had picked up her phone and said Hello Honey and i replied Hello Darling how are you and Harley replied saying i'm doing fine she then continued saying how was work today and i replied long but good i actually made some serious headway at my job i then said Harley where are you right now and she replied i'm currently living in Jump City where my brother lives with his fiance along with his friends+his 4 adopted children and his 3 grandchildren i was very surprised at Harley's last statement i then said isn't your brother like 19 and Harley replied yeah i then continued saying then how does he have grandchildren she then told me very long story about how he and his fiance had become grandparents once she had finished telling me the story i was outraged when i had heard that DeathStroke had done to my 15 year old niece once i had finally calmed down and said Harley is there anything that i can do for you guys and she replied well you could probably help us with raising Terra's children i then said i'd love to do that it would be nice to take a little vacation from work and Gotham Harley then said okay i will talk to my brothers fiance Raven and see if she could pick you up in the morning i then said okay that sounds great to me at least now i don't have to pump gas into the car Harley then started laughing until she heard the sound of crying Harley then said i got to go Autumn is crying again but not before saying i'll see you tomorrow until then i love you Dear and i replied i love you too Harleykins Harley then said bye and i said bye as well and with that i then headed to my bedroom and started packing once i had finished packing then decided that it was time to go to sleep i then proceeded to lie down and go to sleep but not before thinking to myself how lucky am i i have a loving girlfriend her brother his fiance his friends my 4 adopted nieces and nephews as well Harley's brother's fiance's mother and sister i then fell asleep
