The Conference

CIA Division X Training Facility
January 14th, 2000

Scott wakes up in his room early in the morning. The sun shines from his window to his lens of the facemask. Scott gets up from his bed and exits his room, then he walks to the kitchen.

"Good morning everyone," Scott says jollyingly. He notices that everyone in the room is abrupt for some unknown reason. "What's wrong??" He asks in confusion.

Charles wheels himself to the table, "Jean is gone. She left last night, I tried my hardest to track her down but I can't. She blocked me out,"

"What?!" Scott yells in fear.

"Henry's gone too. We searched all around his lab for clues but all we could find is damage. Everywhere," Moira explains.

Scott looks around, "Damage?"

The five of them walk to Henry's lab. Scott opens the door and when he does, he finds chaos. Shattered glass. Scattered supplies. Loose blue hair. All over.

"What the hell happened?" Scott asks as he turns around looking confused.

Bobby joins in on the conversation, saying, "We all tried checking the cameras but they had been broken before we could see anything,"

"Wait. This couldn't be Magnetos doing, couldn't it?" Warren asks in fear.

Moira steps up, "No, Magneto doesn't even know that all of you are here,"

"Listen, we need to prepare for the conference attack," Charles says.

"But what about Jean?" Scott asks.

Charles sighs and knods his head slowly down, "I am not sure,"

Meanwhile,
The Brotherhood Hideout

Magneto stands around his team as the sun from above the cave shines on his helmet. Avalanche, Multiple Man, Pyro, and Mystique stand together all suited up as they await for their orders.

"The conference has just began, we have at least 20-30 minutes to prepare to take out Senator Kelly," Magneto says.

"Mystique and I will stay up top on the roof and begin to tear apart buildings to create gates so no one can escape. Pyro will stop people from escaping using his flames. Multiple Man will multiply and take out all the guards, while Avalanche and Toad attack Kelly and bring him to me!" Magneto announces his whole plan to make sure everything gets in order.

The Toad swipes his tongue along his face and creepily says, "Sounds wonderful!" as he rolls his head around.

Multiple Man enters the conversation for a chance to reassure himself, "You're positive this will work?"

"Madrox, Mystique and I didn't work on this plan for weeks just for it not to work. I can assure that Charles' team will show up! But if they do, stick to your ground, get them out of your way, and continue your job. We cannot let Kelly get away, we need to make a stand for us mutants!" Magneto yells.

The rest of the Brotherhood shout loudly to announce that they, are ready.

Downtown Manhattan

Jean Grey walks along the streets of Downtown Manhattan, trying to escape from the rest of the world.

Jean stops walking as her eye is caught by one of those vintage television stores that keep the t.v.s out front in the window. Jean stops and watches the news on one of the televisions. On the news channel is a live broadcast of the conference going on.
