Dreams - (Completed)

Chapter 9

When they arrived, they were blown away by the building and the interior décor, the girls all shared 'is this for real' glances. As they followed their waiter to the table. They had a really long table with 20 seats. The girls were all confused as to why there were 2 extra chairs extra as there was only 18 of them but made no comment. Mandy and Chris each sat about a third in from each end so they all had one of the 2 to have a conversation with.

They all ordered their food and continued to talk but in 2 smaller groups. As their food came out the intro to a familiar song came on very quietly. Becky immediately jolted upright hearing it come on, she glanced over to Chris and then back and Mandy who was opposite her gave her a massive grin. Becky looked around and realized she was the only one without food, As the voice of the song started 'Lights up on Washington Heights, up at the break of day'  it didn't sound like the original recording she was so used to, 'I wake up and I've got this little punk I've got to chase away' she turned around towards the kitchen door to see none other than Lin and Karen standing there, Lin with her pasta and Karen with a pot of parmesan cheese.

Becky made a very loud audible gasp and put her hands to her mouth, the others although they had now recognized the song hadn't noticed the difference in Usnavi's voice until they looked in the direction Becky was facing and all started freaking out. Becky however, didn't make a sound. She just sat there, hands over her mouth, as more tears of shock, joy and 'Is this actually happening to me right now'. Mandy got up from her seat and walked round the table over to hold Becky's hand. Chris, Karen and Lin came over and put the plates on the table and crouched down beside Mandy and Becky.

"This is to say Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday from last month and mostly as a massive Thank You. As the others clearly pointed out earlier and I've said this before. You are so dedicated to the Fearless Squad and the shows I've been in that I wanted to find a really special way of saying Thank You. And by looking at your reaction, I think I did a pretty good job." Mandy said. Becky giggled, pushed her chair back and jumped up to give Mandy a huge hug.

"Thank You so much, Mandy. This is more than my dreams come true. More than I could ever imagine. Thank You for creating the Fearless Squad, without it I wouldn't have made all these friends without you. I wouldn't be the person I am today without it, without your online presence, none of this would have happened. Thank You Mandy"

She turned around and finally said hello to Lin and Karen and gave them each a massive hug.

"Thank You so much for being here, you don't know how much it means to me and the girls that you flew out all this way just to meet us.

"If Mandy says she has someone special we have to meet, we do anything to make it possible." Lin responded, and Karen nodded in response.

They all sat down again and had their food. Chris called down to us: "Does this mean we have to repeat our 3 hour 'bonding session' we had earlier. Everyone giggled. They did however introduce themselves the same way that had done earlier by doing around the table telling Karen and Lin about the person on their left.

They had an amazing dinner, an incredible conversation with the 4 best people they could imagine. When they were all stuffed, they took another group picture with Karen and Lin and they all got on the underground and headed back to the hotel. Mandy and Chris had secretly booked twin rooms without the girls knowing so Lin and Karen had somewhere to stay the night.
