Truth or Dare

"Truth or," Logan pause for effect, "dare?"

I shook my head and sighed, "Dare."

"Aww, is little Katy afraid of sharing how she really feels about me?"

"Shut up." I put my head down and shook my head again. Little did the womanizer sitting in front of me know, he was one hundred percent correct and I was one hundred percent guilty.

Logan and I were sitting in the middle of his room trying to get to know each other better.

The idiot decided to put post it notes all over the principals car. As his punishment he had to audition for the school's new play. "The Assassin" is what it's called. A girl from our school wrote it and anonymously sent it to the theater class.

I play the main character and he plays the love interest and partner. We have to show chemistry on stage and decided that playing truth or dare. Obviously not my idea but whatever.

"Your dare is..." he put his finger on his chin pretending to think, "to lick the bottom of my foot."

I shot him a disgusting face and asked, "Are you kidding me?"

"I'll put peanut butter on it if that makes it any better."

I sighed and we walked to the kitchen of his house. He pulled a jar out of the cabinet and took his sock off putting some peanut butter on it.

I did my dare and decided that it was time to go home.

Six o'clock rolled around the corner, practice was over, and theater started.

"Hello class." A random sun appeared from the lobby.

"Not a class." Logan yelled from behind the small woman.

She took a breath and continued to explain why our director wasn't here and told us that we have to keep up the bonding between the assigned characters.

Logan sat two seats away from me and put his feet on my lap.

"Truth or dare." I asked him.

"Truth." I raised my eyebrow at his choice, "We're supposed to get to know each other. At least I'm following the rules."

I smiled, "Who was your first ever crush."

He ducked his head down, "Scarlet Rouchet."

I could see his blush from where I sat, "As in slutty Scarlet? When was your first crush? Freshman year?"

"Kindergarten." I laughed in his face, knowing very well about the stories of 'ugly Scar.' "What does that have to do with getting to know each other anyways?"

I shook my head and told him that was his turn.

Two days later Logan showed up to theater sporting a black eye and a limp. Before that day he managed to piss off the substitute to the point where she could care less if she through a stage light at him.

"What happened to you?" The sub asked sarcastically as she carried a smirk on her face.

"Nothing." I look over to him and notice that his knuckles are bruised and cut.

"Did someone get into a fight?" She taunted.

I rolled my eyes then said, "Aren't you supposed to be more mature than that?"

"Leave it alone Katy. I can handle myself." Logan harshly said.

The substitute decided to completely ignore me, "Friend problems?"

He remained quiet as she went on with her taunting. His fists started to clench against the arm rests of the plush seats.

"Daddy problems?"

Logan started to roughly gather his things and stormed out of the room.

"Logan!" I called out.

I shook my head and picked up my bag, following him.

His car roughly pulled out of his parking space. He was already heading towards the exit so I decided to beat him to it by standing in the middle of the road.

I know. Not the best idea but it was something.

"Are you fucking crazy?" He screamed at me, "I could have killed your ass!"

"I guess that makes two of us." I smiled at him and got into the passenger seat of his car.

We sat next to each other on the roof of his car, parked on a cliff in the middle of nowhere, staring out into the sunset.

"She wasn't wrong, you know?" I furrowed my eyebrows, "daddy problems."

"Your Dad did that to you?" I asked worried.

"Not a big deal. It only happens once a month when he comes back home from business trips or from his latest scandal."

"Is it really not a big deal?" I raised my eyebrow at him and put my hand on his shoulder.

"Yeah." He replied with a shrug, "I'm used to it."

"That's really how you feel?" My prying didn't seem to stop. I only find myself becoming more interested.

He looked down at me, "Why would I feel any different." His jaw clenched together and he stiffened.

"Truth or dare?" I asked.

"Dare."

I smirked knowing that he picked dare because he knew what I was going to say, "I dare you to tell me the truth about how you feel.

He threw his head back and laughed, "Now how is that fair?"

"It's not." I laid myself on the roof of his car with my head on his lap, "But if it's the only way to get it out of you then that's exactly what I'm going to do."

"We barely know each other why should I tell you anything?"

"Well isn't this what we're doing the exercise for?"

He sighed and we were silent for a little while. He had his hand in my hair and the other holding him upright on the car. I closed my eyes and waited, "I don't know how I feel about it."

My eyes opened and my eyebrows furrowed.

"Sometimes I'm angry at him for what he does but then I get angry at my mom. She- she-" he sighed, "She doesn't do anything about it. It's almost like she doesn't care."

I sat back up and hugged him. I took a deep breath out and let it out slowly.

"Stop smelling me."

I laughed.

"So, it's your turn." I nodded my head, "Who's this guy that everyone is telling me you've liked since middle school."

I stiffened in his arm, "That's not how the game works."

"You cheated  the last time so I get a pass."

"Promise it won't be awkward?"

"Promise."

I took a deep breath and looked him in the eyes and told him something I've wanted him to know for the past five years. "You."
