Ruby (Now Completed!)

[Introduction/Disclaimer]

Hey everyone!

Welcome to my first work on my revamped account (this used to be a diehard Pentatonix fan account, yes, I'd like to forget that time in my life {sorry if you're a fan of theirs but it's my opinion})! I had an old account but there's a ton of pretty old content there and instead of trying to pick up where I left off, I decided to start again with a clean slate. That being said, if somehow you end up on this account from that account, I will not be continuing any stories there and will instead be trying to grow on this one!

For those of you who are new to my writing altogether (probably most/all of you), thanks for taking a look at this. To start, I plan on writing Ruby in third person PoV to switch things up, and since I've never done this before (combined with the fact that I haven't written fiction at all for god knows how long), the first few chapters might be a little rusty and/or confusing (or just randomly switch to first person PoV). If so, I apologize, but I always proofread my work from the beginning every few chapters so hopefully I can try and fix it up a bit.

Big disclaimer time!

So, this work is a fanfiction based on Vocaloid/UTAU characters (if you read the description you know this already but just in case). That being said, I'm going to try my best to keep the characters as true to their actual selves as described in the Vocaloid/UTAU wiki or whatever else. HOWEVER, since this is my work, I reserve the right to add and/or leave out and/or change certain characteristics of the characters so the story flows better and makes more sense. For example, the whole controversy over Teto's age is not going to be a thing in my story, she's just going to be 15 and a half, same with Ritsu, who I am going to call a female throughout the entire thing. So if you don't agree with how I've set up the characters, don't call me out about it in the comments, I've been part of the Vocaloid/UTAU community for a year now and I've learned a lot.

Another disclaimer: I don't plan on using any video/photos of any of the Vocaloids/UTAUs in the story, but if I decide to use something, it is very likely NOT mine. I will credit the channel or user that I got it from if possible. However, the storyline is 100% mine, and with my permission, you may use any part of the storyline if you wish, but PLEASE ask first!

For all my readers who might be unfamiliar with Vocaloid or UTAU, my goal is to make this work as enjoyable as possible for any reader, so hopefully you'll still be able to enjoy the story! However if you would like to learn more about Vocaloid and/or UTAU, simply search up "Vocaloid" or "UTAU" in Youtube or even Google. I can also include some (credited) links to some of my favorite content at the end of this letter.

For readers that are already familiar with Vocaloid or UTAU, I'm glad you decided to check this out! You likely have a favorite Vocaloid or UTAU character, and I totally respect that. I do too! (I won't name them but you will likely be able to figure it out once you start reading.) That being said, if your favorite character is a "bad guy" or not even mentioned in the story, I apologize, but I also have good news for you! If you have a suggestion for a character to add/change or a way to make the story more interesting, feel free to leave a comment or message me directly about it. I love to hear suggestions because I might even be able to use them in future works!

Okay, I know this letter is very long and boring, but I've got ONE more thing to say. Once again, for UTAU and Vocaloid fans, I don't want any arguing about one character being better than another in the comments. I see this all the time on Youtube and I think it's stupid since UTAU and Vocaloid shouldn't be compared to each other. Please help keep my fanfictions positive and constructive so I keep the motivation to update them!

Once again, thanks so much for checking out my revamped account and this story! I hope this account grows to be better than the last because I love writing for you guys in my spare time :). As for an update schedule, I don't have one, but I want to try very hard to update at least once a month. Of course, this will probably fluctuate as more ideas pop into my head, but I think that's a good place to start.
