Teto and Piko carefully made their way back to the safe haven, already discussing plans for how they'd get the antidote. They decided to consult Len for input when they returned.

After hours of crawling back the way they'd come, they finally arrived back at the safe haven. Len was already there, eating his share of the food he requested for dinner. His eyes lit up as Teto and Piko entered, happy to see that they were alright.

"Hey guys, how'd it go?"

Teto and Piko immediately sat down on the blanket, across from Len. Piko nodded at Teto, allowing her to tell Len the story.

She told him about the surveillance camera they encountered, Mat's story, and the deal she'd made. Len listened quietly, his expression remaining blank throughout the entire story.

"So, you've gotten us into a dangerous situation." Was all Len said once she finished.

Teto did feel a little guilty for agreeing to something like this without Len's permission, but she also felt that they were a team now, and she wasn't going to let him have all the authority.

"I think it was the most reasonable and best plan of action to take if we want to get out of here." Teto said, holding her stance on the subject.

Len sighed.

"Ruby, I know you have our best interests in mind, but you don't know what you just agreed to. The Head's office is the most heavily guarded room in the entire headquarters. There aren't any vents, so there's no way we're getting in that way. The only way in is the elevator, and you can't even enter that without an ID. Even if we do get that far, there's no way in hell the Head would just hand us the antidote without blinking an eye."

The situation did seem a little bleak to Teto when Len put it that way. But she still had hope that they could find a way to get the antidote without getting caught. She already had the beginnings of a plan formulating in her mind.

----

"Ruby, are you really sure your plan is going to work?" Len rolled over in bed to face Teto. He couldn't sleep, since the deal she had made troubled his mind.

Teto opened her eyes, staring into his icey blue ones. Her red eyes burning into his made butterflies arise in his stomach.

"No idea, but it's the best I've got. You think you have something better?" She replied.

Len shook his head, breaking her gaze and staring toward his feet. He felt slightly ashamed of questioning her in the first place.

"No, sorry." He said timidly.

There was a long pause before Teto asked,

"Hey, you alright?"

Len looked up at her again, noticing her face had softened somewhat. He couldn't resist a small smile.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Why?"

Teto shrugged, not bothering to smile back.

"I don't know, you've seemed off lately. Like, ever since you rescued Piko and I."

Len sighed.

"I guess I'm just worried about us, y'know? It's so easy for them to sniff us out, and the stunt we're gonna pull tomorrow could be the end of all three of us. I just want to make sure you and I know perfectly well what we're doing."

Now, Teto smiled, but it was only a trace of a grin.

"Don't worry, we're gonna do it, and we're gonna get out of here. You, me, Piko, and Mat. I promise."
