Tris

I saw Christina and Will leave to the next cart in search of first aid. I was alone with Tobias now, and that’s all I wanted.

I stared up at his dark blue eyes, which were looking back at me with so many emotions. I smiled, his hug warming me. I had aches and pains but all of that was dulled by Tobias’s warmth. I just wanted it to stay like this forever; not having to worry again, and just embracing each other. In that moment, I forgot about all of the day's horrors and just focused on Tobias.

“Tobias.” I whispered softly to him. That seemed like all I could manage right now, the familiar comfort of his name.

“Tris.” He said softly, smiling. All I wanted, needed, right now was Tobias. I felt him pulling me closer, and my heart started to beat faster.

I could feel his breath on my face as he leaned in and began kissing me. His soft lips gentle on mine. I began kissing him back, all of my emotions pouring out through my lips. I felt his hand on my cheek, slowly sliding down my neck and making me shiver. Our kisses became more passionate, and I closed my eyes. I felt his kisses move to my cheek and going down my neck, and I smiled. He hit my crow tattoos, and I sighed louder than I should have, but I didn’t care. I could feel him smiling as he moved back up to my lips. They were hungry kisses now, each wanting more. I could feel his hand slip under my shirt and slowly going down my spine.

“Tobias...” I sighed.

“Tris…” he whispered back.

I felt my shirt being lifted up, the cold of exposed skin quickly replaced by his warmth. His hand slowly sliding around to my stomach. I was shivering, not with cold but with…I don’t even know what. He dropped my head gently to the floor and climbed on top of me. His one hand was on my cheek again, caressing my head. His other hand was ever so slowly sliding up my stomach, bringing my shirt with it. His kisses were fierce yet gentle. I sighed. He smiled as his hand reached the top of my stomach and stopped. I tensed now, my breaths now quick because of nervousness. He lifted his head and looked me in the eyes with something inside I couldn’t quite understand.

Desire? Longing? What could he possibly desire? I felt his hand on my stomach, eyes never wavering from mine, the same strange look inside them. Then, awkwardly realized his hand was still there and lifted it away. He gave a crooked smile and lifted me onto his lap once more. I could feel his heart beating inside his chest, rhythmic and reassuring. He laced his hand with mine; and the last thing I saw before the darkness of sleep engulfed me, was those beautiful and mysterious eyes…
