Not What They Seem {Undersoul X Reader}

Another Human?

      Immediately when you exited the ruins you noticed it was snowing. Feeling cold you hugged yourself snuggling into your F/c hoodie. As you walked you had to step over a rather large branch, and thats when you noticed that there was forest growing in this part of the underground.

     "Huh. Didnt know trees could grow in caves.." you thought as you continued walking.

     You heard the branch snap behind you causeing you to spin around, but you saw... nothing. You kept walking till you reached a bridge with a wooden gate. You stopped to examine it and thats when you heard the snow crunching behind you.

     "human, dont you know how to greet a new pal? turn around and shake my hand." said a deep voice behind you.
  
    You turned around and saw a short skeleton monster with his hand out. You shook it and it made a loud squelching sound. This conjured up a low chuckle from him.

    "The woopie coushin on the hand trick never gets old," the short skeleton chuckled.

    You couldnt help but laugh at it. You wondered if he always had that on his hand for moments like these.

    "well.. my name's sans, sans the skelton" says the skeleton shrugging.

    You could help but look down at his feet, he was wearing slippers that were smooth everywhere but right above the toes where there was a fuz patch in the shape of a upside down heart.

    "Oh I'm y/n!" you say looking up from his slippers.

   "so i see humans still wear those soul badges up on the surface, even after all this time" Sans said taking notice to your badge

   "Yea kinda a requirement on the surface, but it seems like you wont have much trouble getting used to it when you get up there" you say.

   "welp, me and my brother are supposed to be watching for humans, but as of late we havent really been up to it. here, lets head into the town" sans said.

   "Okay lets go" you say starting forward.

    You got to another section of the forest and Sans quickly hid you in a bush, but you had good vision of a very tall skeleton that almost sounded like the skeleton from He Man, it fit him well though.

    "SANS WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?! ME AND THE HUMAN WERE LOOKING FOR YOU!" The skeleton said/yelled.

   It wasnt until he said that did you notice that there was a small maybe 10 year old child standing next him. She was wearing a blue and purple sweater, and had a locket like yours but it was red with a gold trim. Her soul badge glowed red brightly as she giggled at the skeletons remark.

  "There is another human down here?!" you thought.

   You didnt hear sans' reply to the skeleton, all you saw was him pick up frisk with a huff.

   "FINE, WE WILL GO COOK SUPPER WITHOUT YOU!!" he said running away with the giggleing human.

  "So what is his name and, did he capture her is that why you hid me?" you asked sans coming out of hiding.

  "well his name is papyrus, and long story short he tried to capture her but ended up "adopting" her instead," sans explained.

  "What do you mean adopted?" you inquired

  "well she wanted to head forward to waterfall, but papyrus wanted her to be safe so he somehow convinced her to stay here with us" sans explained more.

   "Did she want to free monsters too?" you ask curiously figuring you could use the help.

   "she still does but papyrus wont let her out of his sight" he said
