Only an Act..?

   "In we go.." You say starting to walk forward.

   Frisk got a call from Alphys, she put her on speaker so you could hear.

   "O-Okay... you should be able to just g-go through this door, and the e-elevator should bring you straight to A-Asgores castle," She said.

   You followed what she said and walked up to the elevator, and tapped the button. No response. You tried it again. Again no response.

   "O-Oh the elevator i-isnt working, o-okay the long way sh-should work too, the way forward is the l-left path," Alphys says.

   "Okay, left it is," Frisk says heading off.

   You followed her, but when you entered she was being attacked by what looked an awful like a froggit from the ruins, this reminded you of Mom and you started to feel homesick.

   Like I expected when I entered the left door, not only was it not the way forward but I was also greeted with one of Mettaton's hired mercenaries, Final Froggit. He had a lot of the same attacks as a normal one, just a little more complex than normal. I knew the attacks well enough I didnt have trouble bringing it down to zero and Sparing it once more. I looked over at Y/n after the mercenary hopped off, and she had a pained expression on her face. I dont think I'll tell her its all a ruse just yet.

~Narrator's Pov~

   Frisk walked up to you with a concerned look on her face, a caring face.

   "Is there something wrong Y/n?" She asked.

   "I just... that monster reminded me of Toriel, my mom.." You reply starting to tear up.

   Frisk gave you a hug and patted your back softly until your fit would calm down. You slowly stood up and started heading back to the original beginning. Alphys called Frisk again.

   "I-I'm so s-sorry that used to be the way forward, s-somebody must have sc-scrambled the the layout of the Core" She explained.

   "Wait the Core can be rearranged?" You ask.

   "Y-Yes, most of the underground is riddled with p-puzzles, the C-Core is no exception" Alphys answered.

   "Thats pretty cool, but right is definitely the way forward, right?" You question.

   "By process of elimination, y-yes definitely the way forward" She replies hanging up afterwards.

   You and Frisk went forward through the right door and found yourself in a hallway with four exits off to the sides, one of them led to a bridge of some sort.

   "That bridge is the way forward, but I want to show you something, it'll help in the future, especially so I dont have to give you one later," Frisk says skipping off.

   You follow her and she leads you to a miniature room with a trash can in the middle. She turned and handed you a burger, but it was mainly purple and actually glittered.

   "What is this thing?" You ask almost disgusted.

   "It's a GlamBurger, trust me it heals a lot of HP and will be helpful later" Frisk replies, "and it actually doesnt taste half bad, believe it or not."

   "Okay.. I'm trusting you," You say setting it aside in your inventory with the hotdogs and cats.

   The two of you head back to the bridge and start to walk acrossed it. About a third of the way through you get ambushed by 2 more of those monsters, a Final Froggit and Whimsalot is what Frisk called them. Their attacks were fairly easy to dodge, so the two of you took them down to a single health point, sparing them consequently. You continued walking as Frisk warned you about there being two more ambushes. You got abushed a second time just like she predicted, she called these monsters Madjack, Knight Knight, and Astigmatism. These monster were fairly easy to to take down and spare so now you made it to a special looking door and an elevator, you found the elevator didnt work, so you went into the special door to find Mettaton waiting for you.
