They end up watching three movies in total and by the end of the third, Caitlin and Richard somehow managed to claim the entire sofa for themselves so that Charlie and Ken ended up sitting on the other smaller one and Spencer and Violet occupied the floor in front of the sofa, as they pushed the table to the side.
Also, Violet's head is now burried in Spencer's chest as she couldn't stand watching horror films, for which everyone else but Spencer teased her, saying that the movies they watched hadn't even been really scary. Spencer was so sweet as to comfort her, reminding her that it was just a movie and driving his fingers through her hair because he knew that that never fails to calm her down.
But Violet knew that she hadn't been the only one letting out high-pitched screams occasionally, suspiciously looking over to Richard aka Frankenstein every now and then to catch him screaming louder than herself.
"Should we watch another one?" Spencer asks, not wanting to get up, adjusting the blanket around them with the hand that didn't feel numb because Violet had grabbed and squeezed it whenever she had been scared.
Caitlin hiccups as if on cue, to which Charlie says, "I think it's time for us to carve pumpkins."
Richard cackles in agreement and Violet's head shoots up at the mention of the next activity.
"Got it!" She says and is about to stand up when Charlie and Ken volunteer to go get the pumpkins, after demanding to know where Violet had put them.
Spencer knew that Charlie would somehow manage to force him to do it today and not wait any longer and it seemed as if he had let everyone except Spencer and Violet in on his plan as Caitlin and Richard started heavily making out as soon as the other two left the room.
The young profiler now regretted that he had confided in Charlie and told him about his true feelings and wanting to make things official with Violet over drinks before turning up here.
This time around, Violet was the one who let out an awkward cough and Spencer scratched his neck. Before things could get any more awkward, she decided to do what they always ended up doing lately whenever they didn't know what to do and that was what Caitlin and Richard were currently up to behind them. It was the best way to avoid communicating between the both of them and they had gotten used to this behaviour already which would probably come to bite them if they didn't talk it out.
The red wine in her system made Violet act a bit overhasty though, she moved to kneel in front of Spencer before putting one of her knees on each side of his legs, straddling him. Then she giggled, realising that this wouldn't work because of the white fabric covering most of Spencer's face. She grabbed the bottom of the sheet and started to pull it up slowly, involuntarily moving her hips while doing so.
Spencer didn't know what to do. This was nice but he didn't want this to happen. Not right now at least, not while in this state in this situation. Luckily for him, Ken walked in in that very moment and cleared his throat so that both pairs separated to look at him. Violet quickly got up from his lap and decided to take the pumpkin out of Ken's hands.
She mumbled a quick thank you and went to move the table back to its original place, Spencer deciding to help her after having discarded of his costume because he was beginning to feel sticky under it.
With the table back in its place and all of them sitting back on their original seats on the coach, they all started to carve their pumpkins, trying to manipulate each other as in the end, they would vote which one of them is the prettiest. Charlie decided that the winner would get all of the left over candy, which is why all of them took this competition very seriously. Or at least most of them did, except for Charlie himself who was cracking up whilst watching Ken, who was dressed as a pumpkin, carve a pumpkin.
Violet moved slowly, planning out the pumpkin's features with a pen before mustering the outlines along which she would cut. While she was mustering, she played with her zipper absentmindedly, which annoyed Richard. Richard's complaints bugged Spencer and so he decided to get her to stop. He sneakily removed the paper heart from Violet's costume without her noticing and stuck it onto his shirt.
"Hey Vio, could you please hand me that pencil you just used?"
"Sure, Spence." She said handing it to him and seeing her heart on his shirt when she does, "Hey, give that back, it's mine!" She pouts and Spencer shakes his head no.
"Why not?" She whispers.
"Only if you win this thing and share the candy with me." Spencer says and Violet gives in, extending her arm,"Only if you share when you win."
"And you have to stop this." Spencer says, grabbing her zipper and zipping it dangerously low before moving all the way up so that only the top of her neck could be seen now, "please."
"Okay, deal." she nods and Spencer shakes her hand, "Deal."
Both of them get back to 'work' and finish carving their pumpkins.
When all the votes are in, Spencer and Violet both have two points, leaving them tied but they don't mind as they would have shared anyway and the others grabbed some either way as well.
As the other four munch on candy while laughing at the pictures of Richard carving his pumpkin with a very sad and pitiful facial expression, Violet offers Spencer some more sweets.
"Thanks." He smiles, "Oh, and here's your heart ba-" He begins peeling it off his shirt, but Violet stops him, putting her warm hand on top of his cold one.
"You can keep it Spencer."
"Oh. Thanks!" He says, "Are you sure?"
"Yup." Violet responds shortly.
A few silent minutes pass in which Violet's hand finds Spencer's on his leg and their fingers intertwine.
"So I take it we are official now?" He grins.
"You bet." She says and plants a kiss on his cheek.
