Chapter Six~ Getting the guts

Cici was laying on her boyfriends bed as he was getting changed. She was astonished that Michael was awake, it was the first time she had seen Megan smile the familiar smile that lit up the room. She kept thinking about the day Megan found out about the ring. Now that he was awake was he going to propose? Was that what was going on while they were out? Was someone getting the ring for him? She couldn't wait for it to happen she would have to ask Calum, since if it was true he'd be the one to know. "Cal?"

"Mhm?" He questioned pulling his shirt over his head and going over to lay on the bed with Cici.

"Is Mikey going to propose to Megan soon?" There was this cheeky smile on Calum's face, he grabbed his girlfriends hand and smiled.

"Yes, hopefully tonight, he wanted to try tonight but I don't know if he did or not." Cici kissed her boyfriend in excitement, two of their best friends might be engaged tomorrow. The two they helped set up in highschool. The one with Megan sleeping over her house multiple times at night crying about how she wasn't good enough or he was going to break up with her for no specific reason. Cici in her head prayed quietly that all would go well. Calum leaned over and kissed her bringing her out of the trance.

"Darling, what would you like to do?" Cici went over to the movie cabinet browsing through it picking up School of Rock. Their night had just begun. Ashton was at his and Emily's place, working on a new drum solo. Emily was sitting there watching and reading a book. Ashton, Emily, Luke, and Anna were all hanging out after they left and the boys had already told their girlfriends. Emily couldn't keep her mind off how he was going to do it. She just wanted to see the ring and quick. The beat of the drum had stopped and Ashton was no longer at the drum, Emily glanced over before getting tackled by her boyfriend from behind.,

"You're mine!!!" At the hospital, Megan was asleep on Michael's bed. He kept thinking about the wedding Jim had shown him, was it going to be like that? Would it be a Vegas style? Hell he didn't care, the thought of seeing Megan in a dress was bringing shivers to his spine. He grabbed the  box from under his pillow, opening it to see it but not loud because he didn't want to wake her up. He looked at the ring, laughing softly. Megan moved around a little and a gasp came from his mouth because he didn't want her to see it. However, it was too late.

"What's that?" She asked sitting up some.

"Um, nothing." He said scrambling to try to get it away. Megan snatched it out of his hand opening it. 

"Oh my god...." Megan's voice got quiet, Mikey took it softly and looked over to her.

"Megan, I wasn't going to do this tonight I was too scared but since you saw the ring, Megan, you're one of my best friends, we've been dating for the longest time. I'm afraid if I don't do this soon we'll drift apart and you'll find someone new so Megan Hills will you please take the honor of marrying me." Megan didn't answer she just nodded smiling kissing her boyfriend now fiance. The tired couple shared a few more kisses before falling asleep. 

"GET UP!" A voice yelled in the hospital room scaring Megan off the bed and jolting Michael up.

"I am going to murder whoever just caused that." Megan said standing up holding her head. A round of squeals came before the girls ran over to her.

"He proposed!! Lettme see the ring!" Cici and Emily gushed. Anna just waited to see the ring it wasn't worth yelling about at six in the morning.

"Yes he did could you quiet down a little, I just woke up." Anna moved in between to two gushing girls.

"They will they just are a little too excited, they had a lot of coffee this morning. So, can we see the ring now?" Their friend nodded bringing her hand with the ring. The ring had a bunch of diamonds that went in a pattern with a bigger one in the middle.

"Michael Gordon Clifford you did good." Cici said still looking at the ring.

"Thanks I think." He smiled.

"So you actually had the guts?" Ashton asked.

"Well, no. I was looking at the ring when Megan was sleeping and she woke up and saw it so there was no backing out."

"Well I still think its awesome that you two are going to get married. When are you able to get out of the hospital?" Calum asked.

"Well I think it's either today or tomorrow, apparently I woke up and I was perfectly fine."

"Well isn't that a miracle." Luke said

"Yeah..." Mikey said trailing off a little thinking about that Jim guy and the white room could he be the one that gave him perfect health. Is he still going to have memory flash backs? He was almost worried. But now, he did what he wanted he was engaged to the girl of his dreams. 

"Im going to go get something to drink." Megan said kisisng her fiance's head and walking out of the room. The group of friends now surrounded Michael.

"So when is the wedding?" Emily asked.

"Whoa I just proposed relax." Michael said in shock.

"Well we need to plan, we need the dresses, the guys need suits, we need a venue, cake, guest list, Megan's wedding dress." Cici said listing on and on everything.

"Cici, calm down Michael just proposed babe. I'm sure this is what you'll talk to with Megan about." Calum said hugging her from the behind. Megan walked in with Dunkin Donuts and said next to Michael on the bed.

"So what are we going to do when Mikey gets out today?" She questioned. Luke smiled.

"Well since he is getting out today we all should get dressed up and show off around the town." The plan was bland, for the moment, but it was going to turn into a whole party in their world.
