Ashley
I sat on the couch at Amanda and Drew's house with the evening news on. It's been two days and I haven't heard anything from Brian or seen anything on the news about him. Drew walks into the living room and sits down next to me. "You've got to stop worrying about him. I bet he's fine."
"I want to go find him," I said, getting off the couch.
"You're kidding, right?" He said standing up next to me. I shook my head. "No, we are not doing that. We don't even know where he is."
"I want to find him or rescue Hunter, you choose," I said walking into the kitchen. Amanda was sitting at the kitchen table on her laptop.
"One we don't know where Brian is, two Hunter is probably surrounded by guards in The Gap," he said.
"What?" Amanda said.
"Ashley wants to go get Hunter and Brian," Drew told her.
"Are you serious?" she said getting up.
"Yeah, and what is The Gap?" I asked.
"It's a military fort about two hours from here," Drew said.
"Then that's where we're going," I said.
"If we do go we should go soon," Amanda said.
"Okay, let's go," I said moving towards the door.
"Zach we need you to drive us somewhere!" Amanda yelled up the stairs. Drew walked over and opened the drawer next to the sink and pulled out the gun Brian had. I gave him a look.
"What? We are going into one of the strongest military forts in the US," he said putting it in his pocket. We walked out to Zach's car, Zach with us now. Amanda sat in the front seat and Drew and I sat in the back. No one really talked much, other than Zach screaming at other drivers. I leaned my head against the window trying to fall asleep. I drifted off.
I woke up from Zach beeping the horn at someone in front of him. He pulled off the highway into a gas station, so did the truck in front of us. Zach followed the truck to a pump and took the pump right behind him.
"Why are you following that guy?" Amanda asked him.
"He's a bitchy driver and I want to make sure I can make him a better driver or make it so he can't drive," He said starting to get out of the car, but Amanda grabbed his arm.
"Don't you dare," he pulled out of her grasp and got out to fill the car.
"Do you want to go get something with me from the rest stop?" He asked me.
"Sure," I said and opened the car door. We walked passed the truck, I glanced inside real quick. There was a boy sitting it the front seat. I walk a few more feet then stop dead in my tracks. That wasn't just a random boy that was Brian.
"Ashley, what's wrong?" Drew asked me. I didn't answer him, I walked back to the truck and looked inside. I was Brian. I knocked on the window and he jumped. He opened the truck door and hugged me.
"I thought I told you to stay put," he said.
"I couldn't let you kill yourself," I said.
"Wait, where are you going?" He asked, letting go.
"Where are you going?" I said. He rolled his eyes.
"The Gap," I said softly. Before Brian could say anything Josh yelled at him over the truck.
"What the hell are you doing out of the truck?" Brian ignored him.
"Go back to their house," Brian said.
