Chapter 4: Freinds for Life

Annabelle’s P.O.V:

We hopped out of Callie’s shiny black car and onto my front lawn. Callie lived right around the corner, so I don’t know why she drove, but she can be lazy sometimes. I then ran onto my side lawn and started “yelling” at Callie for ruining my clothes.

“Now I’m gonna smell like cake batter ice cream for the rest of my life!” I yelled sarcastically.

“You know what? Wanna fight me Annabelle? Wanna go there?” she taunted me.

We both ran onto my lawn and started to “fight” each other. When we fight, we don’t actually fight, we kinda run around, attempt to tackle each other, and tickle each other to death. Our clothes were already ruined, and my hair- well let’s not even go there.

We were running in circles, and them Callie ran up to me and started tickling me. I’m a very ticklish person, so I naturally fell to the ground, which made it easier for her to tackle me. However, I pushed her off by spazzing her. We both got up, and tried to show off our “karate moves”. We burst out laughing, and Callie took this opportunity to grab me and pull me to the ground. I was laughing too hard to fight back, so she sat on me to make sure she won. She wouldn’t get off of me until I told her that she was “the most amazing, wonderful, bestest friend that I ever had and that we would grow old together and taunt our kids when they went places to embarrass them.” When I finally did, I managed to push her off of me. I could have sworn I heard someone laughing from Louis’ porch, but when I looked over there, no one was there.

Callie and I went into my house and were greeted by my mom.

“Hello girls, how was the-“She suddenly stopped talking and examined our clothes.

“What happened? Do I need to get a referee for you too? You honestly could be related because you sure do fight like two sisters! You know I thought I heard noise coming from the side yard...” my mom stated.

Luckily my mom’s pretty laid back, so she wasn’t too upset because I didn’t ruin any good clothes. Then my dog, Bailey started barking. We had to walk over and pet him, and he started licking my face.

“Is there a reason you two smell like ice cream?” “Because I’m pretty sure that’s why the dog’s trying to eat your faces” my mom questioned.

Callie and I ran upstairs to my room before my mom figured out what REALLY happened. Callie and I were over each other’s houses all the time, so we each had clothes and toothbrushes at each other’s houses. We also were the same size, so we fit into each other’s clothes. We both fought over who was going to take a shower first, and Callie insisted that since she had won the fight, she got to go first. She took an extremely long shower, and by the time she was done, there was barely any hot water left. I got into a semi-cold shower and washed all of the ice cream out of my hair.

After I finished my shower, we got changed into sweatpants and matching tee-shirts. Mine had Annabelle air brushed on it and Callie had her name airbrushed on hers. They both said Knoebels 2012 on the back.

Callie jumped on my bed that had tons of fuzzy blankets on them. My room was painted a bright magenta and had tons of polka dots and decals on the walls. I also had tons of candles scattered everywhere.

I grabbed the t.v. remote and decided that we were going to watch the Vow. Callie texted her mom that she was staying at my house, and we started the movie. As the movie started, Callie and I both started yelling at the t.v. like the characters could hear us. Callie and I both like to talk- a lot and we were yelling at the girl for every wrong mistake she made.

“Why are you going back with your parents!?!  Do you not see that they are horrible?” I shouted at the t.v.

“Why would you kiss Jeremy he’s such a looser!” Callie interjected.

As the movie started to end, we became quieter. We were both tired and heard that it was a sad ending. As we watched intensely, we showed no emotion. Not one tear was shed, and we are both usually very VERY emotional people when it came to sad things. Needless to say, we were very disappointed with the movie.

Callie decided that it was a horrible movie, and I agreed. We were too tired to do anything else, so we decided to turn the t.v. on and watch spongebob. By the time we were halfway through with the second episode, we were both fast asleep curled up on my bed.
