KOBK 2

It was dark out, close to midnight. Six year old Bridgit Parker was having trouble sleeping. She was having nightmares and wanted to get up and go to her parents' room. She pushed the covers off and froze in fear.

There, in her room, was a man with a paper white face. He had no lips, curved scars running down either side of his face to meet his mouth, and unblinking eyes. His hair was jet black. "Go to sleep," the man said quietly to Bridgit. She shook her head desperately and whimpered.

"Pwease d-don't hurt me.." she whispered, "I'll do anything.." The man's horrifying grin seemed to get bigger.

"Oh you will, will you?" he asked in his scratchy voice. She nodded and swallowed. "Hmm.." he held a knife out to the child. "Come with me," he instructed. Bridgit took it hesitantly then nodded again and got up, and quietly followed the stranger.

He went into her parents' room. "Kill them," the stranger whispered, suddenly right behind Bridgit. She almost screamed, but he covered her mouth. "Do it," he whispered fiercely. With tears streaming down her face, Bridgit sunk the knife deep into her father's heart. Her mother woke up and right before she could scream, Bridgit slit her throat.

"Now your brother," the stranger whispered fiercely, gesturing to the baby in its crib in the corner. Bridgit knew she couldn't protest, and followed orders. She stabbed the baby in the stomach repeatedly until she was sure he was dead. Only after the job was done, she allowed herself to curl up into a ball and grieve quietly. The stranger grinned even bigger. "I'm proud of you, little one. Not too shabby," he said, inspecting her work. "Now we have to go before the police get here." Bridgit shook her head furiously. The man sighed and picked her up, covering her mouth to muffle her screams of protest, and ran off into the woods after jumping through the window. Bridgit falls asleep while being carried.
