It's time to move on, to let go and stop hoping for the impossible to happen.
Quit hoping for him to love you back or care for you.
Wishing that he would make you his priority.
You gave him your love, your attention.
You always put him first, made him your priority.
Made an effort to ensure that you both spent time doing things together.
You fed him for love in the form of time, food and gifts.
But he did not reciprocate.
He took you for granted.
And you are letting him take you granted.
You know for his future, you need to stop being an obstacle in his path.
You are just his backup.
He will move on to someone new and as bad as it sounds you will not want to be around to see him happy with someone else.
But in your heart you know that he deserves it.
He deserves to fall in love with someone he wants to fall in love with.
To be with someone he is passionate about,
To get married to her,
To have a family with her.
And you know it's something you cannot give.
So let him go. It's time to move on.
Embrace the pain.
