The Awakening

Chapter 1

"Today class we have a new student"

Mrs. Drew announced as if it was something so exciting. I had my head down because I never really liked school all that much.

"Mrs. Brown please keep your head off the table and at least introduce yourself to the new student!"

"This is the exact reason why I don't like school." I mumbled to myself  wondering if I could skip school.

"I told you if you want to say something say it my face!"

"I can barely even look at it without gagging, now you want me to look at it." Not realizing that I had spoken my thoughts out loud.

"Office now!!"

As I left the room I could here the laughter of my classmates.

I took my  hat off and ran inside of the bathroom.

I hid in the corner hiding away from all of my troubles. I then went to look at the mirror realizing that I couldn't see my own reflection.

"What on earth is going on?" I rubbed my eyes with water, but it still didn't help with my no reflection situition.

As I looked at my hands they turned into a shadow. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The world around me turned into darkness. My feet started to lift off the ground.

"Help... Help me!!" I tried to grab onto the sink, but I was to late and ended up being sucked up into what seemed like a vortex.

"Mrs. Brown please keep your head off the desk."

"But you..." Mrs. Drews face started to fade away not realizing that it was just a memory.

I started to descend which felt like forever until I landed onto some sort of pillow which looked like it had seen better days.

I jumped off the pillows thinking that something would crawl out of it. As I dusted off my pants I could feel the Earth underneath me begin to shake.

I looked around hoping that it wouldn't kill me. I wasn't just going to die here so decided to hide in the pillows even though it smelled like poop and pee.

I could here voices in the distance just barely making out what they were saying.

"Are you sure that she was supposed to land here?"

"Yes I'm sure, I've never messed up one of these jobs before have I?

"No."

"Then stop doubting me and start searching, because I'm not going to be the one that the boss yells at."

I couldn't take the smell anymore, and without thinking I jumped out of the pillows like the stupid person that I am.

"What the-"

I just ran without hesitation.

"After her!"

The strangers ran after me, but I wouldn't let them take me that easily until...

"Cliff!!" I stopped dead in my tracks almost falling off. I felt a pair of hands grab onto me.

"Fiesty one are you."

"Let go of me!" I shouted trying to wiggle out their grasp but it was pointless.
