Out of breath. Heart pumping. S ear coated face.My feet carried me through the night as I ran from my mother's house. I didn't think before breaking out of Kane's hold and bolting towards the door.
I heard a few calls but ignored them. All my senses were screaming at me to run.
My legs started burning and my feet hurts, but still I kept running. I knew at some point I would collapse of exhaustion, but I pushed myself to go as fare away from that house as possible.
And sure enough I fell down on the hard gravel road, busted my knee and scraped my elbow.
No tears, no whimpers, no sobs were heard as I laid there. The stared glistening above but I could care less.
The image of my oh-so-pale father flashed in my head making me flinch. I clenched my jaw, willing my subconscious to forget about his fang filled smile.
The way his chestnut brown eyes held a tint of red in them. His sandy brown hair turned a little black and his once stubble face as smooth as porcelain.
My mom looked so happy next to him, but All I saw was those pearl white fangs glistening in the light of the dining room.
I remember know the conversation I had with Kane about my father. He ment something when he asked me what I would do if he told me my father is alive.
It felt like hours, days even, that I laid there in the middle of the empty street before I felt a cold water drop land on my face. Than it started to rain like no tomorrow, but u kept laying there. I didn't have the will power to stand up.
I opened my eyes but instead of the cloudy night sky, I saw the face of Kane, crouched down in front of me. I closed my eye again and opened them. His black hair laid back against his head, his face was dripping with water and his clothes soaked.
He held his hand out to me and I took it without hesitation.
He helped me to me feet, I stumbled a little and he wrapped his arms around my waist. I laid my head on his shoulder and wrapped my arms around his neck.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I whirled. "I could have mentally prepared myself For this. Why did you keep quiet?" I started crying at the end.
"I'm so sorry, Mì Amor. I had no other choice." He tightened his hold around me and buried his face into my neck.
"You always have a choice. And you chose to hide this from me." I gritted out.
"I was asked to keep you in the dark until your mother wanted to tell you. Lo siento, Mì Amor."
I didn't say anything, I just clung onto his as the rain poured Down on us.
"Mì Amor?" Kane interrupted the silence.
"Yes."
"I'm afraid me have to head back. Your father wishes to see you." He kissed my neck before pulling away.
"I'm not going back there, Kane."
"I'm afraid you have no other choice. Even though he his changed, he will always be your father. You don't have to fear, I'll be there with you." He assured. I nodded and he picked me up into his arms and ran towards my mother's house with his supernatural speed.
We made it there I'm less Than a minute, mom came rushing out the door with an umbrella. She tucked me under her arm but I'm shrugged it off and told her to give it to Kane. I made may way into the house where my father sat in the living room, supposed to be dead and be drenched in rain.
I took the time to observe him. He's still the same yet so different. Even his posture is different, where he use to slouch in the couch, now's he sits pin straight with the world's largest amount of focus.
I silent as I could I crept down the hall to Ems room to get one of her plastic balls. Once I had the ball, I crept down, still wet, and stood behind him.
I aimed the ball for his head and threw it. The hallow ball landed on my 'fathers' head with a thud.
He turned around and stare at me. For a moment he had a glare on his face, But than it softened.
He smiled, picked the ball up and threw it at my face, it hit my on my forehead and for a moment u smiled.
He opened his arms to me and I ran towards him. He wrapped his arms around me and hugged me close to him. Although pale and vampire, my father was still warm.
"I missed you so much." He said breathing in sharply.
"I missed you too dad." I buried my head in his neck. "I missed you so much, dad."
Dad kissed my hair and held me at arms length. He looked at me from head to toe.
"You've grown up so much." He ran his finger over my cheek. "Thank you."
"For what?" I asked confused.
"For taking care of mom and Emma. You are a strong girl."
"Thanks dad."
Dad hugged me again before mom, Emma and Kane came into the room.
"Honey, go with mom and Em, I need to speak with Kane." Dad said his name with so much hate that I scared me.
I nodded and went with mom and Em.
Kane POV:
I watched at Arizona walked out with her mother and sister. She was beautiful, I couldn't get enough of her. All I wanted was to lock her in my room and never let her go.
I turned back to Mr. Peters. Before I could say anything, his fist flew through the air and landed on my cheek bone.
I turned to him confused, even though I am the vampire king, I still respect the father of the woman I love enough not to hit him back.
His eyes were glowing a liquid red and his fangs were extends.
"You fucking bastard." He hissed at me.
"Sir-" "Don't fucking 'sir' me, you took my daughter's innocence." My eyes widened as realisation hit me.
"Sir, I dint think you understand."
"What don't I understand?" He growled. "I want to kill you right now, but I fear it will not be in favor of my daughter."
"Mr. Peters, I love your daughter very much, and what I did was what she wished for me to do. I wouldn't have done anything against her will. That I can assure you."
"Tell me one thing, boy."
"Anything, sir."
"Did you at least use protection?" He clenched his fists at his side as he waited for my answer.
"No s-" before I could finish another punch came my way and I felt stinging in my left eye. This man can through a punch like some kind of ninja.
"If my baby girl is pregnant, be sure to have your coffin ready." He said and turned around.
"What can if I want to marry her?" I blurted out before he could exit.
He gave the darkest chuckle I've ever heard. "No, dear boy, not 'if' you marry her. You will marry her, I don't want you running out on her when she's pregnant. You got that, boy?"
"Understood sir."
Before Mr. Peters could exit, Arizona emerged from the other side of the door with and unreadable expression on her face.
"You want me to get married?"
