Ravagers Are Dumb

I lost track of Ego's ship a day later when it departed. I ran towards where I now knew the ship was faster. I saw Rocket and Yondu. I frowned, and hid in the bushes. I inched closer, and listened to them.

Yondu chuckled slightly, "Lucky for you, my word don't mean squat. Otherwise, I'd actually hand you over"

"Otherwise, you'd what?" Rocket sounded stunned.

Yondu grinned, "We'll take them batteries! They're worth what? A quarter mill on the open market?"

"That Priestess offered us a million! A quarter is only... one-third of that!"

Yondu sighed, "A quarter ain't a third..."

"A quarter is 25."

"No."

"We can't even buy a pair of boots with 25 units!"

"Enough! The point is, we ain't stupid enough to help kill the Guardians of the Galaxy! The whole dang Nova Corps would be on us. Not to mention Shadow's family!"

Kraglin growled, "That ain't right! I just gotta say it this one time, Cap'n... No matter how many times Quill betrays you, you protect him like none of the rest of us much matter!"

"Yeah!!"

"I'm the one what sticks up for you!"

"Take it easy, Kraglin!"

"Darn straight, lad! He's gone soft. Suppose it's time for a change in leadership!" A majority of the Ravagers pulled out their guns.

"Put your damn guns down!!" One of them argued.

Rocket scowled, "Whoa! Whoa. There must be some kind of peaceful resolution to this, fellas... or even a violent one where I'm standing over there."

Suddenly Nebula came out and shot Yondu's fin, "Well, hello boys, and child behind the bushes." I walked out, and Rocket facepalmed.

"Maybe you should listen to Yondu." I stated, "You wouldn't want my mother to get word of this." They exchanged nervous glances then a guy shouted out for them to get me. They captured us, and I chose not to reveal my hand. If they put me in a different Cell I couldn't tell Rocket the truth about Ego.
