"Where to, Captain?" Kraglin asked as we boarded a ship section that wasn't blown up.

"Ego." I told Rocket. Rocket clicked it.

"No, boy!" Yondu shouted, "it ain't healthy for a mammalian body to hop more than 50 jumps at a time!"

"I know that." Rocket scoffed.

"We are about to do 700!" Yondu said, stunning Rocket.

"Don't worry." I stated, "It takes over a million to kill a person."

"Idiot!" Rocket shouted.

"What the heck are you doing, boy?" Yondu asked.

"Ego is bad news." I stated, "We're here to save Quill."

"For what? Huh?" Yondu asked. Rocket tenses, "For honor? For love?"

" I For one, don't care about those things." Rocket scoffed, "I wanna save Quill, so I can prove I'm better than him! I can lord this over him forever."

Me and Yondu started laughing.

Rocket scowled, "What are you laughing at me for?"

I spoke up, "You can fool yourself and everyone else, but you can't fool me or Yondu. We know who you are."

Rocket stood his ground, lYou don't know anything about me, losers."

I started to explain, "I know everything about you. I know you play like you're the meanest and the hardest, but actually you're the most scared of all."

"Shut up!"

Yondu took on the next part, "I know you steal batteries you don't need, and you push away anyone who's willing to put up with you, 'cause just a little bit of love reminds you of how big and empty that hole inside you actually is!"

"I said shut up!"

I sighed, "I know them scientists that made you, never gave a rat's darn care about you!"

"I'm serious, dude!"

"Just like my dad who only wanted me around to do some stupid prophecy, and when I didn't, let my uncles banish me from earth." I growled.

Yondu turned in his backstory, "and just like my own darn parents who sold me, their own little baby, into slavery! We know who you are, boy..."

"because you're us." I finished.

Rocket paused. "...what kind of a trio are we?"

Yondu shrugged, "The kind that's about to go fight a planet, I reckon."

Rocket "All right, okay! Good." There was a shocked pause, "Wait. Fight a what?"
