"You have got to be kidding me" Was all I could say turning to look back at dad who was grinning, I groaned resting my head on the steering wheel
"But we just bought two last week" I whined

"But you know my love for them,I saw them on my way back and I thought to bring my favourite daughter here later so we could get them" He replied winking at me which by the way came out more as a blink.

"Okay we're getting only a pair and everybody knows Samha is your favourite" I said to him,to which he chuckled at.

I seriously can't understand his obsession with shoes, we're always buying new pairs every week.

Alhamdullilah the restaurant was full today, as it was still newly opened we don't get much people here.

It was a gift from my dad when I was in my final year at the university. Being a graduate of business administration,I've always had a flair for cooking right from time and I've attended several culinary school making me a certified chef. Owning a restaurant has always been a dream of mine which was slowly becoming a reality.

Making my way towards Mustafa who just came in with some guy.

"What can I get you guys?" I asked not bothering to add a little cheerfulness to my voice because he is the most annoying relation ever.

I don't normally attend to customers but as it was a full house today, all the workers were busy.

"Ha'ahn the madam herself " He said making me roll my eyes at him,

"Just order and be quiet" I replied with a bored look.

"See you no go marry, stay for house dey do daddy's girl till you old finish." He said making me roll my eyes at him yet again.

"Says the momma's boy" I scoffed at him, And I was not old I'm only twenty-Five.

Was that old?, Not at all

Mustafa happens to be my cousin, unfortunately.

"Go joor" He Said. I laughed and then turned to go when I heard him call after me
"And send my favourite" as if I cared!

" Mummy, yaya wants to finish my cereal." Samha my younger sister cried,

"And him never brush" she added in pidgin making me chuckle.

I think mum was in the laundry room so she didn't hear her, That was how I decided to go and see what was happening like the very responsible big sister that I happened to be.

On reaching the sitting room I spotted Al-amin with a spoon in his hand and a pouting Samha beside him.

"If i say you no get sense now dey go say i dey lie" I said making the two of them turn their attention to me.

"Whatever" Al-amin replied walking pass me.

Stealing a glance at the girl who had gone back to eating her cereals like it was the most important thing in the world for her, making my way towards her I could still remember the day she asked to be withdrawn from school because she doesn't understand anything and was being bullied.

Samha was not a normal child, she had a problem they said was 'spiritual'. That's why she is everyone's favourite, well except for Al-amin.

Brothers!

"Nabeela what happened?" I heard mom's voice behind me,I turned to her.

"Just Al-amin that doesn't know his mate, Ya Allah! siblings are tiring" I collapsed on the couch.

"You should consider getting married then" Mom teased.

"No mom,please."

Why is everybody talking about marriage today?

"Nabi you're not getting any younger you know, most of your friends are married."

"If a husband comes I'll marry him,and I have just one married friend" I muttered.

"There are husband's everywhere but you just never look at any." I rolled my eyes.

"Eh if a guy stops her now and ask for her number she will suddenly turn deaf." Alamin said while strolling in with his hands in his pockets.

"Did anyone call you in this conversation?" I asked him a tad bit angry, "and if they are serious, they should know the road to my father's house."

"But you know he is saying the truth" Mom argued.

"Am out of here." I got up and went into my room.
