Isma'eel √

He entered the room and saw her still sitting on the prayer mat. He sighed, things were not the same anymore.

He ruined everything just by his tongue, he didn't mean to.

As if sensing him she stood up and folded the prayer mat, It was 5:55 am and he had just came back from the masjid after the subhi salah.

"Good morning." she mumbled inaudibly and he had a feeling that 'good morning' was not from the heart. The way she focused her attention on the prayer mat and didn't even give him a glance, that was his cue

Well mostly everything she did since from yesterday was not from the heart.

He really hurt her feelings! But what could he do? He just lost his temper when he saw his precious little boy in that state.

He massaged his forehead with his palm and sighed softly, he really needed to make things right.

His thoughts were interrupted by her brisk walk to the door, as she made to pass by him, he grabbed her left hand softly to stop her movements and it worked!

Nabeela on the other hand was trying to remain calm and not do anything stupid. She was very angry at him and her own way of dealing with anger towards another person was shutting the person off completely, her words tend to become harsh so she simply keeps quiet. She really hopes he doesn't waste her time because she still has to prepare breakfast and pack Muwaffaq's lunchbox.

He led her to the king size bed and entwined their fingers together all the while with her giving him a nonchalant attitude.

He started, "I destroyed your smile with wo..."

"I don't really have time for this now, I have to go and make breakfast and prepare" she made air quotes with her fingers, ''your
son's lunchbox." she cut him off as she also made sure to stress the 'your son'

           ••NABEELA••

"Oh my gosh!" Rahma squealed running into the sitting room.

I rolled my eyes, this girl was an even bigger drama queen than Zainab.

"What happened? And where's the purse I asked you to bring" I enquired with little enthusiasm.

My sister and brother in-law, Rahma and Abdul-Rahman were back from their boarding school and now officially a semi-graduate.

Yes semi because they just finished their secondary school.

Anyways, since they came back Rahma was practically living here now, she comes in the morning and goes back whenever Isma'eel forces her to leave. At first I liked her coming but now she was too much work. She talks non stop which means I have to reply her every time even when I didn't want to.

"I just saw something wonderful!" the seventeen year old exclaimed and dramatically fans herself.

"What?" She now had my full attention.

"That gown in your closet! Oh my gosh! Where did you get it from? I want one too." she spoke all at once.

"Which one? I have many gowns in there." That wasn't a lie

She ran into the room and came back with the gown Isma'eel had given me as a gift for 'peace giving'
