22. Need to Talk

A week went on by and I found myself drowning in meetings and trying to upload frequently. I had events to be attending in a few months then I have things going on next month since it's summer. I felt like I've had a million things to do that I just haven't even seen any of my friends.

Then Charlie has been in California for Music so he's three hours behind me. So when he's off of work and finally has time to talk I'm so tired. It sucks but that's long distance and time zone difference. It was currently seven at night and I just finished filming a video. I was about to upload the video from my camera to my laptop but not before I got a text.

From Jaime🌷:
Hey babes what's up haven't talked to you in a while.

To Jaime🌷:
Ugh nothing much besides being swamped with work and stress. I missed talking to you though, wbu? How've you been?

From Jaime🌷:
Eh it's been boring without you, no one to go to Sunny's with. Are you busy?

To Jaime🌷:
Nope why?

I didn't get a text back instead my phone started to ring. I answered it when I seen her name pop up on my screen.

"Hey girlie what's up?" I asked as soon as I answered.

"Tired, what about you?" She asked.

I sat down on my bed, "Tired as well, I don't even remember the last time I wasn't this stressed. But it's whatever."

The line then got super silent, I had to pull my phone away from my face just to make sure I didn't hang up. But I didn't, our call was still going she just wasn't saying anything.

"Hello? Jaime you still there?" I laughed.

"Ave if Shawn got a girlfriend and she was your best friend would you tell her you had feelings for him?" She asked breaking the silence.

I was taken back a little which made me think of my talk with Camila. And even when he told he had feelings for her. I then had to talk to her and pretend I didn't have feelings for him.

"Personally? No I probably wouldn't, actually I didn't. I had the chance to tell Camila when Shawn asked me to ask her. Why?" I asked.

It took her a few seconds to answer making me highly uneasy. A few seconds ago she sounded happy and now she keeps getting quiet.

"Jaime, what's going on?" I asked.

"I...Avelyn we've been best friends for years now. I'm talking four I mean we met because of our love for Shawn. And we've been by each other's side for so long and we've just been really honest with each other." She starts saying. I could hear her voice wavering making me feel anxious.

"Jaime just tell me what's wrong please." I told her.

I hated when my friends were upset, when I hear them cry or broken I can't help but want to cry as well. I feel so helpless as well because I can't do anything to help. That's how I felt because I wasn't back in New York to just hold her and be there for her.
