Twenty-seven:

(Louis' POV)

"So.." Louis began. "Are we really just gonna sit here and wait?"

"Well what else can we do, Captain.." Niall shrugged his shoulder. "We have absolutely no clue where the Prince is being held."

"Maybe we should start looking around town.. See if we can find any clues." Liam chimed in.

"It's worth a shot." The Pirate King nodded. "We can't just sit here and do nothing."

Louis motioned for his crew to follow him off the ship.

"Come on guys.." They followed. "Let's see what we can find."

Louis and his crew walked down the dark vacant streets, looking for anything helpful.

"If you were a deranged pirate who was angry about being thrown off his own ship." Louis raised a brow. "Where would you hide?"

"What about under that bridge over there." Niall pointed. "That looks like a good hiding spot."

"Let's check it out.."

The Captain started to jog toward the underpass of the bridge.

"Look for any clues.."

They scattered around, looking all around the ground.

"Hey Captain!" Liam shouted. "I think I found something!"

Louis walked over to where Liam was crouched down.

"What is it?" Louis squinted his eyes, trying to get a better look.

"It looks like a ruby ring.."

"That's-" Louis picked it up. "That's the Prince's ring! This must be where he was taken.."

"Look!" Niall pointed to the ground. "There's some droplets of blood over here!"

"Do you think Zayn.." Liam looked over at Louis. "Killed him?"

"No." Louis furrowed his brows. "He must have just knocked him out or something. This definitely wouldn't be enough blood for a murder."

"Well if he did knock him out.." Niall started to follow the blood drippings. "Then he couldn't have dragged him very far."

They all followed the dribbles of blood until they came across a secluded house in the darkness.

"The blood stops here.." Louis pointed to a old latch leading to a underground basement. "It looks like an abandoned basement."

Louis and his crew tried to unlock the latch, but it wouldn't budge.

"Wait!" Niall stopped them. "What if Zayn is in there? He could kill the Prince the moment we barge in.."

Louis suddenly heard the sounds of a muffled scream from within the basement.

"Do you guys hear that?" Louis pressed his ear against the latch. "Someone's in there.."

"It might be the Prince." Liam added.

"Harry!?" Louis pounded on the door. "Harry! Is that you!"

The muffled screams intensified.

"I'll take that as a yes." Louis grabbed his sword from his hip. He tried chopping the lock off. "Come on! Help me get this off!"

Niall and Liam grabbed their swords, also plunging them into the lock.

"Come on!" Louis grunted. "Hit it harder!"

The crew of pirates stopped suddenly when they heard a pair of footsteps approaching in the distance.

"Someone's coming.." Niall whispered.

"We've gotta hide!" Liam looked around.

The crew of pirates hid behind the wall of the house. They listened as the footsteps approached closer.

Finally Zayn came out from the darkness. He opened up the latch leading to the basement.

"Show time." Louis snarled, watching Zayn crawl inside.
