I was lying on my bed (well jumping) cose I was bored when my phone rang. I ran over to my drawers. Eleanor! I picked up the phone hurriedly.

“Ellie? Hey babe!”

“Louis.” Eleanor sounded like she’d been crying.

“El! What’s wrong? Is it the hate again? Cose I can knock those guys into next week and-“ Ellie cut me off.

“No, Lou just listen to me!”

I shut up. “Sorry.”

“I have been offered a job in-“

“El that’s great!”

“In Australia.”

I froze. My mind went blank. “What?!’

“Hollister offered me a job in Australia.”

“You’re not taking it?”

“I have to Lou! This is my dream job! It could set me up for life!”

I gulped. “Ok. That’s ok we can sort this out and-“

“No. Lou” Ellie sobbed again. “Our long distance relationship is too hard as it is. I will have a proper job now. They won’t let me take heaps of time off work to see you.”

“So… You’re suggesting we break up?!”

“I’m sorry Lou. I love you. I always will.”

The phone clicked. “ELLIE!” I shouted. “ELLIE!”

But she was gone. I threw my phone against the wall. I could feel the tears coming. I sat down on my bed in desperation, when Georgia came in.

“Lou!” she shouted. “I have the best id-“

When she saw me she broke off. I turned to face her.

“Eleanor dumped me!”

Georgia’s P.O.V

“What?! What do you mean Ellie dumped you?”

“Hollister offered her a job in Australia! She had to take it! It was her dream job. But-“ Lou broke off with a sob.

“But the long distance relationship was too hard for her,” I finished.

Lou nodded weakly.

“Oh Lou…”

I walked over to him and sat on the bed. Putting my arms around him, I pulled him close. Weakly, he rested his head on my shoulders. He buried his face in the crook of my neck, and cried.

Suddenly, the door opened. “Hey Lou I need your advice on someth-“ Liam broke off. He stood at the door, staring at the 2 of us. Then he abruptly stormed out, slamming the door behind him. I sighed, and turned to Lou.

“Go,” he said. “I’ll be fine.”

“Are you sure?”

“Go!” He pushed me towards the door. I walked out into the lounge. Liam was sitting on the couch, staring at the blank TV.

“Li?”

He turned towards me. “What? Why aren’t you in there with your boyfriend?”

“Liam! He is NOT my boyfriend!”
