Pub Chatter: UNBOUND - October 29, 2017 - Prompt #1 - Write a poem about spending the night in a haunted house.
my haunted house
long shadows gather
windows fade
hear my breath
hands folded
head bowed low
I wait
for my ghosts
who come
with buttered biscuits
love light
pats and whispers
I feel
one more time
my ghosts'
love inside me
spirit owned
well kept flesh
we thought
we were safe
10.31.17
prayers up for those innocent people who've paid mortal price -
fallen neath evil's sword
prayers up for those whose hearts are
imprisoned by ignorance and fear
prayers up that goodness will prevail
and peace will be our
worldwide goal
