Robin listened to the sounds of the forest all around him. His eyes were closed and he was laying down on the hard bark of a fallen log, his hat sat on his well toned chest. He was finally getting some peace; his father, the Coeur DeNoir had been fairly agitated as of late, yelling at everyone and snapping at absolutely everything, it was almost as if he was on his period. Robin lightly chuckled at the thought. However the problem could be easily traced back to his sister, Loveday whom had run away today, twenty years ago; and the 5000th moon was coming up soon. The curse upon the Merryweather's was going to happen, no doubt about it and the pearls still haven't been found. The thought brought a smile to his handsome features, his family would finally be avenged.
Eventually his thoughts drifted back to the recent events that had left butterflies in his stomach. His father had sent him to London to scout out a Merryweather. It had taken a while, but he had finally tracked her down as she and her sister attended her father's funeral. Robin shifted positions, the bark scraping against his leather clothing. The girl had seen him yesterday, when she had dropped a flower into the grave of her father. She had also walked over to a nearby headstone. Slowly she placed a flower on the headstone, her mother's. Robin had felt something tug on his heart. They had both lost their mothers then. A DeNoir and a Merryweather with something in common, he chuckled and pushed the thought aside.
The girl had suddenly turned around and Robin corrected himself, she was not a girl but a young lady with pure raven black hair and beautiful piercing green eyes. Her eyes quickly found his, which had been watching her with interest, she gasped slightly wondering who he was. Curly hair covered his eyes, falling out of a black bowler hat and a black strip of cloth covered his nose. Not normal attire by any means. She quickly turned around, which gave Robin a chance to duck behind a tree where he could not be seen, his father had ordered him to stay out of sight. What a fantastic slip up on his part. He watched as she slowly turned around again, her dark raven locks sliding over her shoulder with such grace. A look of confusion crossed her face when she didn't see the odd looking boy again. She shook her head, she must've imagined the boy, her father's death must've been getting to her.
Robin shook the memory off when his eyes fluttered open. A leaf had drifted down onto his knee, he brushed it off and stood up. His father had wanted him and a few other men to kidnap the girl with the raven black hair. According to his sources, the Merryweather girl would be arriving at Moonacre Valley today.

Leaves and twigs snapped under his foot as he walked towards the path that the carriage would be on. His father was convinced that she was going to be the next Moon Princess and it didn't sit well with him.
There she was, the supposed Moon Princess. Her along with her sister and that tutor of hers were bouncing along the road in their carriage, driven by who he assumed to be one of the servants of the MerryWeather family. His family had never forced people into working for them. The DeNoirs were self sufficient.
Jack, a fellow DeNoir clansman shoved Robin's shoulder in anticipation for the kidnapping that they were about to do. In just a few minutes the carriage would stop in front of the gate; the perfect opportunity for an ambush.
Robin and the three of his fathers men, who were not much older than himself, were sitting in the trees close to the gate. As the carriage went underneath them, the all dropped softly onto the top of the buggy. Luckily for them the driver didn't notice them. Just as they dropped, the carriage jumbled around over a rather nasty patch of rocks, which was to their advantage, the women inside the carriage wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the boys arrival and the rockiness of the gravel road. A feminine gasp could be heard from inside the buggy. Robin for an unexplainable reason flushed slightly. He wondered absentmindedly of what the princess looked like. He had only seen her from afar and could only make out the fact that she had black hair and green eyes.
