"Whats the big deal with this neighborhood?" Kate asked. It was Saturday morning, a perfect day to relax...at least that's what she wanted.
"They said there was disturbance--"
"So everyone moved out?" Kate interrupted, not quite understanding.
"Pretty much."
"I'm going out for a walk." Henry said seconds out the door.
"Take your sister with you!" Miss. Spade yelled after him.
"Ugh!!"
"Yeah, I hate you too buddy." Kate grabbed her coat and followed after little brother.

"Hey, did you see that house?"
"Which one smart--butt?" Holding in his foul language, Henry threw a piece of chewing gum into his mouth.
"The creepy gray looking one." Kate stopped and exhaled.
Her brother turned around and looked the direction she was looking.
"That trash? Yeah I saw it. There was a lady taking out her trash earlier this morning. She was pushing one of those baby car things for toddlers. Like she was talking to it." Henry shrugged then continued walking.
"Talking to it?" Kate hurried up to her brother's side. "What do you mean?"
Chewing, Henry began again, "like, her lips were moving and stuff. And she was doing like those little baby movement things, like puckering your lips when you talk to a baby."
Kate felt her stomach knot up. Because of how big a jokester her younger brother was, she really hoped he was just 'playing around'.
"Where are we going anyway?"
Henry shrugged then looked ahead. "Downtown I guess."
Kate heard a chatter of people and looked forward.
"What's going on?"
------------------------------------------------------
An autumn festival was soon. Kate had lost Henry in the crowd and now was standing next to a thrift store named 'Kanies Panties.'
"Gross" gagged Kate. She looked down the street. The place was loud and everyone was putting up decoration. Her eyes grew miserable.
"Coming to the festival?" A voice said.
"Hm?" Kate turned her head and stopped. A tall, young man, around her age, was holding a flyer out to her.
"I said, are you coming to the festival?" He chuckled.
"Nah." Kate looked away. The boy stood there.
"Never seen ya around. New here?" He asked.
"Yeah." Kate relied.
"Ah cool, coming from?--"
"Listen man. I can't talk now. I'm trying to look for that goblin of a brother."
The boy smiled. "Not the flirty type, huh?"
"Not so good looking either." She snapped.
"Whoa there horsey!" The boy laughed.
"I have to go Romeo." Kate passed him and didn't look back.
"See you tonight!" He grinned.
"Bullshirt." Kate tisked.
