Nine

(Mikasa)

I watched as Annie pulled Eren away. I glared at the corner and followed them. I stopped walking when I reached the corner.

Listening in on the conversation, I couldn't even believe my own ears that were attached to my head.

That little chat that I had heard, made me turn the corner. When Annie noticed me her face turned deathly pale. As if I was there to kill her.

Eren followed her gaze. He looked if I thought they were having a scene. I took a shaky breath, and swallowed the lump in my throat.

"No." I whispered. "He raped him. Reiner raped Armin."

Annie and Eren nodded slowly. I blinked and started to take shaky breaths.

Eren walked over and hugged me tight. I softly sobbed, and buried my head into his shoulder.

Lifting my head up...Annie was gone.

(Annie)

Reiner pulled me harshly. A gag was in my mouth, and my hands were being held by his.

He was dragging me by my knees. I could feel my legs burn. I muffled something, even I couldn't make out. Reiner ignored me, and continued to drag me farther and farther.

What happened to him? I thought. Reiner let go of my hands, when we reached the woods.

He walked behind me, and tied my hands together.

I turned my body and kicked his knee inwards. He grunted and fell to the ground. I ripped my hands away from each other, got up, and ran. Ran to Bertholdt.

I had to get to him. I had to. I took the gag out of my mouth, and thanks to that I was able to run faster.

I smelled something. I knew that scent from anywhere.

I ran in that direction, and ran into Bertholdt.

He looked at me shocked, and I technically squeezed his shoulder.

"Annie, what's wrong-" I cut him off.

"It was him! It was him!" I cried. Everyone ran out of the mess hall. Eren and Mikasa came from the corner.

"Who's 'him?'" He asked. I pulled him closer.

"IT WAS REINER!"

Everyone stood there. Shocked, at my crying words.

"HE RAPED ARMIN! IT WAS REINER!" I could tell everyone's blood was boiling once they had found out, who raped Armin.

Bertholdt pulled me close, and I looked up from his shoulder.

Eren had his arm around Mikasa. Holding her close to him. He looked at me as if I betrayed him or something. A glare was in his eyes.

I blinked, and more tears spilled out. I then knew he wasn't mad at me. He was looking....behind me.

I slowly turned my body, and found Reiner standing there. He was all dirty, and sweaty.

He was leaning against a tree. His left arm was against the tree, keeping him from falling.

His leg looked liked it shrunk, since he was bending it. Reiner blinked slowly, and shown guilt. But not about Armin. About what he almost did to me.

We watched as Reiner got cuffed, and dragged away. Well I didn't look, I just looked at my feet. I couldn't look.

When the wagon rode off, I walked to where Armin was kept.

I once again found him sleeping. His breathing was a bit better, but I don't think it was the breathing you should have.

I sat on the bench. I leaned in closer. My mouth was against his ear.

"Hi Armin." I whispered softly. "I know what Reiner did, to make you in this horrible condition. But he's away now. And you're safe now. Well, once you wake up you will be."

I looked from the corner of my eye, and moved closer to Armin.

"Please wake up Armin. Please wake up." I whispered. I kissed his lips repeatedly. Wishing for him to wake up and kiss back. Tell me he loves me. Tell me that he's here with me.

I stopped kissing him. I felt tired. Getting up, I blinked away tears and walked out.

(Third Person)

She closed the door. In that small bed, he breathed softly. His head moved upwards. Jutting out his chin.

Taking a deep breath, his tongue licked his lips and his eyes opened into the darkness that surrounded him.
